You cant hide forever

"Oh thank god...they havent found you yet...Im here to give you your ....ah...Injections...my data says you need them now."

"Er right..."He hadnt gotten round to explaing that part to his family yet"Come on in."

Clarrisa was small and slightly plump,easily in her mid 30's or 40's,she was only concerned for his saftey,"sit."she said setting a case down on the coffee table"I brought this with me...so you could do it eventually on your own."

 

After finally seeing her Hermia calmed down slightly. She wasn't a threat, at all. Thank god. Slowly she wandered down the stairs, curious as to what this 'injection' was. He hadn't mentioned anything like this, what sort of drugs had he gotten mixed up in now...?

Ocean looked over as Hermia came down the stairs, her eyes straight away drawn to the long expanse of bare leg she was flashing. "Damn Hermia, I want your legs." She said, her eyes widening in jealousy.

"Oh, thanks." She giggled, blushing slightly.

 

"So your Hermia huh? I can see why this one wouldnt shut up about you."she smiled warmly"All he did when he first joined was talk about you...brag more like."she turned back to River,sticking the needle in

"Yeah....ah..."


"Have I embarassed you?"she laughed"Poor boy, didnt know what to do with himself the first few weeks,Caught him crying once."

"Tell everyone why dont you."he said giving a little shudder as she pushed the plunger in the needle down

 

"Aww, poor ickle River." Ocean grinned, enjoying the chance to mock her brother.

Hermia blushed even more, smiling slightly at River. She'd been worried he'd just totally forgotten about her after he'd left, apparently not.

 

he smiled back

"whats that for anyway?"


"Hm? well we give it to our oporitives when they're just had the...eh operation...it keeps their strength up and what not,but some,like Blondie here,like it too much and become addicted too it,we give everyone it...but he needs it more often,when he first started in was almost every week he was coming to me with tiredness and headaches,signs of clearing wanting,but as he got older he was able to last longer without it...any Headaches recently River?"

"Um..."

"See?"

"So...he's a junkie for this stuff?"

 

"Is there any way to get him off of it...?" Hermia asked, sounding slightly worried.

 

"His body will start rejecting it soon,the headaches and everything will stop,he's getting too old for it..and too strong."

River looked at the floor

"Trust you to become addicted too it River"Mickey said rolling his eyes

 

She wandered over and sat down next to River, placing her hand on top of his in a supportive way.

 

He smiled at her

 

Hermia smiled back at him.

"So, just to humilliate River a little more: What sort of stuff was he saying about Hermia?" Ocean asked, looking over at her brother with a devious smirk.

 

she smiled"This and that."she grinned at the young blonde,who now seemed to be in a world of his own,as his eyes had glazed over"Thats normal by the way...he'll be fine in a few minutes,anyway...mostly how she was the best thing to ever happen to him and how he regretted leaving without saying goodbye,I thoung it was just a teenage crush,since he was so young,but now you can see he really loves her."

 

"Yeah, our family has a habit of imprinting at young ages." Ocean said with a slightly bemused expression. River looked rather funny with the glazed over expression.

Hermia squeezed his hand slightly, her cheeks reddening again.

 

"Ah"she said nodding"It was cute to see him wanting to write to her or call,he just didnt know how too.."

River suddenly blinked and grinned at Hermia.

 

"Things probably would have been better if he had." Ocean said, looking over at Hermia and River.

Hermia grinned back. "You okay?"

 

he nodded"yeah."he looked at his sister"had what?"

 

"Nothing, it doesn't matter." Ocean said dissmissively, it'd taken the two of them long enough to get back to normal without her bringing it up again.

Hermia leant against his arm.

 

"If you say so..."he said

 

"Anyway." Ocean said, settling back into the sofa. "What were you two up to?" She snickered, indicating the lack of clothing on Hermia.

 

"Thats classified information"he grinned

 

Hermia giggled slightly and buried her face in his arm.

"Dirty perverts, in the morning as well." Ocean laughed.
