I listen to the old man nag me over something that I had no knowledge over, crossing my arms in my chair and barely registering what he says. It's his fault that any of this happened, and there's no way that I'm letting him go that easily. I continue to test my limits, but still can't read what he's thinking. I slowly get up from my chair, touching my collar when he mentions my dying. I'm mad, oh I am so mad. This old bastard tells me that I have to change the world and then runs off. Who the hell does that to someone my age?

"Look, I don't even know half of the bullshit that's going on anymore, and you expect me to do this blindly for you? No. I need answers and I need help. If you don't want my blood on your hands, then you're helping me right now."

I put my hand in my jacket pocket and touch my cellphone. I've come up with a good plan for trapping him, but it's more likely to fall apart than it is to work.

Yet it doesn't matter... because I need him to tell me everything. I swear that I'm not going to die without answers.

 

Ah hell. Well I suppose it was bound to happen at some point. All right, I'm cool with being in hell. What's it like?

 

Hmm, late to the party but oh well. I would like the ability for when I need it to have a random power, I don't know what power I will have each time until I use it but it is guarenteed to be useful and help me in some way.

 

He freezes and stares at you. "You don't know?" He starts laughing. "Your Maelchaeses, Vehrmaecht? You've forgotten everything, haven't you? What a cruel joke's been played on you child." He starts pacing around and muttering to himself.

It sucks outside, so everyone stays inside. Inside it's relatively okay, but you have to be a member for 10,000 years before they let you use the water slide.

A strange girl around your age with muddy red eyes and matching hair falls from the sky and lands in front of you. She has a mechanical armored leg and looks intimidating. She's facing away from you. Your reflexes have gotten much better, your body might not be able to keep up, but you'll see nearly anything coming.

The first thing I do with it is erase the laws of physics.

You created a reality marble and negated your own existence. You don't get to go to hell, you will never use the water slide. The world still turns.

 

If I never existed, physics was never erased.
If physics was never erased, I still exist.

No you didn't. You created a sub universe, pocket dimension or reality marble where you were able to control the laws. You erased the laws, thus you erased the universe, thus you erased yourself. That sub universe collapsed, the rest of the world didn't notice a damn thing.

You just did the same thing. The world still doesn't care.

 

Fine. I'll go on ahead and stop erasing things. I change the location of Midnight Star to right next to me, exactly as she was before being transported here. Then I hug her.

 

You power is to create a reality marble with a 30m radius. All things within that 30m at the time of creation of the reality marble are taken into it. Things outside of your reality marble are outside of your control. Things inside your reality marble are under your control completely. Midnight Star is not in your reality marble. You're feeling lonely.

 

In compete defiance of my loneliness, I go out to find somebody.

 

You find a small, adorable and yet odd alien.

 

I nickname it Abe and greet it.

 

I'm not really sure what to do, I say neveously "Um, hello there?" In the hope they are friendly and to avoid fighting if I can possibly help it.

 

It smiles and walks away, waiting you you to follow every so often.

The girl turns around at an absurd speed and puts her face in yours. Her hair and eyes fade to black and her leg returns to normal slowly. Then she clears her throat and says, "What do you want?"

 

I follow it carefully, making sure to check often where it's leading me.

 

Before you realize it, your surroundings have given way to a dark foggy wood. The alien bounds up to a fallen tree where you can see it smiling pleasantly at you, backlit by the moon.

 

I create a faint light source to allow me to see better in the dark.
I ask 'Abe' why it brought me here.

 

For some reason you can't create a light source, your reality marble has somehow been disabled. 'Abe' drops a letter at your feet and says, "As it was written, as you shall dictate. May you begin being the hope for this world. Goodbye." The whole world vanishes and you find yourself back in the real world around noontime.
