"Aren't you prepared? I'll borrow the purple one, thanks." Mizore took the pen and immediately started drawing doodles on a piece of paper. She could do that and talk to Taber before class started.

Taber tapped the desk many times. He almost started to tap in rhythym (hard word to spell out, and I'm a band student! lol) but decided to quickly stop. He didn't want to cause a major disturbance. "So what time does school start again?" Taber looked at his watch. It took him some time to decipher which hand was which and then determine what time it actually was.

Lance walked back to Mao. "You want one? I'm pretty sure my buddy wouldn't mind sparing one more." He twiddled the orange pen through his fingers trying to show it off, so that Mao would possibly think about asking for one.
