Worst book you've ever had to read as an assignment

I haven't read any bad books... yet... I might read one eventually since I LOVE reading!!

 

Well our classes had us read a lot of short stories and very few novels but ones that I can think of:

Short Story: The Red Dress by Alice Munro

Novel: Rescue Josh McGuire by Ben Mikaelsen


The Red Dress bored me, I feel like it was supposed to teach a point but I do not believe it ever reached me. I still have trouble re-reading this one too although I have tried. It's just, once you go through it the first time the 2nd time isn't as enjoyable when you figure things out.


Rescue Josh McGuire also bored me, I am a fast reader so I re-read it a couple times as we read it aloud in class but I just never really liked it. I felt bad for the kid, son a drunk hunter who wanted the boy to give up the bear he liked because he knew his father killed the bear's mother. I just, animal rights movements go ahead and reference it but I'm not fond of it.
