Becky nodded. "Okay..." She said, seeing that she had been with Anthony.

Anthony looked up at Panzela and smiled. "Okay," He said and smiled.

 

"Cool." Panzela smiled and walked over to Becky with Anthony.

Dai felt a movement in her purse. "Hush. Stay still."

Wizard whined pitifully, wanting to run around and smell everything.

"Just wait a bit more." Dai said, trying to sooth Wizard.

Kairuto rubbed his head. "I wonder where Becky went."

"Out." Rei just had to say the obvious.

"You're such a help." Kairuto stood up and went to his room to change into clothes that didn't smell of feathers or ice cream.

 

Anthony walked over to Becky with Panzela.

Becky smiled. "Hey, Anthony. Good to see you again, " She said and.

 

Panzela smiled, "So, your just trying to tire yourself out? Interesting plan."

 

Dai sat on a bench facing the fountain. She put her hand in her bag and rubbed Wizard's ear.

Wizard stuck his tongue out happily. "Kyuu!"

"Shh." Dai said quietly. She looked up at the clouds.

"Thinking?" Megumi asked mockingly.

"What else?" Dai retorted.

 

Panzela looked over at Dai. She doesn't look good... I hope she is okay, maybe she could use someone to talk to. I can at least ask. She walked over to Dai. "Hi Dai. Do you want some company or are you busy?" she asked, brightly, hidding her worry.

 

"I'm fine." Dai said, keeping her voice steady.

"Are you really? What are you thinking of, Dai-sama?" Megumi inquired.

"Nothing you need to know." Dai retorted.

"You're still mad at me." Megumi snickered. "You don't like having my power inside you. You know that I can't exist without you for a prolongued amount of time. You have a plan to destroy your body so that I will cease to exist. But you're too weak. Oh yes, Dai-sama, I know of your plan. You've formed bonds with those idiot Ayumes. You think they're your friends when all they want to do is get close to you so that they can kill you. They hate you, Dai-sama. They want nothing but to see you dead."

Tears fell from Dai's blue eyes and she choked back a sob. "Liar." Her voice cracked.

"Kyuu?" Wizard stuck his head out of Dai's bag.

 

Panzela blinked in surprise but after a moment sat down next to her. "Dai..." she started, but didn't know how to go on.

 

"Why would I lie to you? You know it's true. You try to be their friend, but you know that they'll never be your friend. They would tear you limb from limb just to hear your screams." Megumi smirked.

"Stop, Megumi..." Dai's voice was barely audiable. Her heart was ripping in two. Megumi's words were true. It was the Ayume's goal to destroy Megumi. It would be easier to kill her than try to kill Megumi. Megumi knew of her plans and that would just make them harder to go through with. Dai was trying to be friends with Becky, she did have a crush on Rei.

"Kyuu??" Wizard jumped on to Dai's lap. He put his tiny paws on her hand.

Dai shut her eyes tightly. Tears streamed down her cheeks. she felt malice from Megumi and worry from Wizard. She held one of Wizard's paws between her thumb and index finger.

 

Becky walked over to Dai and Panzela. "Hey, Dai," She said and was about to ask her how she was, but then she saw the tears. "..." She didn't know what to say, so she remained quiet.

Anthony walked over to her as well. He wasn't sure who she was, so he just kept his hands still.

 

"I- I have to go..." Dai waited for Wizard to get back in her bag and then stood and started to walk off.

"Run and hide." Megumi laughed.

 

Panzela bit her lip and then stood up. "Dai, please don't run from us. You can't take her alone... please?" her voice wasn't weak or pleading but you could hear it was sad.

Dai stopped and looked back at Panzela. "I have to."

Panzela looked straight at her, "No, you don't, but I can see your set in your thought.... we'll be here when you need help. Okay?"

 

Dai nodded and hurried off. "Wiz, are you okay?"

"Kyuu." Wizard stuck his head out of Dai's bag to look at her.

Dai knew that Wizard was bothered by Megumi's power. "You're a brave little guy."

Wizard smiled. "Kyuu!"

 

Panzela watched her go off before turning back to Becky and Anthony. She didn't know what to say so she just shrugged.

 

"Hey!" Kairuto jogged up next to Becky. "I figured I'd find you here. So," He looked at Panzela. "How's the weekend startin' for ya?"

 

Becky worridly watched Dai run off. I hope she's okay... She thought as Kairuto came up behind her. She smiled. "Hey, Kairuto..." She said. Although she wondered why he didn't seem surprised that she was transformed. Maybe he already knew... She thought.

Anthony looked up at Kairuto and smiled. He waved "hello" to him.

 

Kairuto gooffily saluted Anthony. "So um, Nee-san... What's up with..." He waved a hand up and down along Becky's body.

"Oh that's nice." Rei scoffed.
