The woman laughed. "It's been a long time... I haven't seen you since you were a little girl..." She smiled. "We moved her not to long ago... Anthony needed to go to a school where they accept kids who can't talk... many schools out where we were at didn't accept him..." She explained. "I had no idea that your family lived out here as well...!" She suddenly remembered something. "Oh! That reminds me!" She said and smiled, placing her hand on Anthony's head. "This is your cousin, Anthony." Anthony's eyes widened when she said that.

 

Panzela's eyes filled with tears and she shook her head, "My family?" she said, almost angrily, "How blind are you?" she demanded. "How can you not know, your own family and you don't know..." she stopped talking and looked at Anthony, "I'm sorry." she said softly.

 

"...Panzela...?" She said and then looked down at Anthony. "Anthony, could you go in the house for a bit...?" She asked. He looked at Panzela and then at his mother. Silently, he nodded and went inside. "I missed something, didn't I...?" She asked and looked at her worridley.

 

"Something major." Panzela said sharply, "Sorry, I'm being stupid, how could you know?" she took a deep breath, "You know my brother, Naoko, of course. And do you, did you know what he thought of mother and father and their... um, ideas?"

"Heh, I rock." Kairuto was still basking in his 'awesomeness'.

 

Becky laughed.

The woman sighed. "Yes... I do..." She said, remembering. Anthony was watching them through the window.

 

"They, they..." Panzela took a deep breath and said what she hadn't told anyone, "My parents had him killed. And they didn't even hide it, they were happy to have the "family traitor" as they called him, dead. They killed their first born son!" for some reason, the tears had stopped and she looked miserably at her aunt.

 

Anthony's mother's eyes widened and she gasped, covering her mouth. She gave Panzela a worried look. "They did what now?! Oh, hun..." She didn't know what to say. This was absolutely shocking news.

 

"I'm not, I can't say it again." Panzela said soflty. "But that's why I'm here. I took my share of the inheritance, only my part, like my brother told me I should do if I ever left, and ran away. I bought a house, I got a job, I go to school, I have friends. I'm doing what he would have been proud of, having a life not controled by them." she looked down, now at a loss for words.

 

"You mean you're living and providing for yourself?! A girl as young as you shouldn't have to do that..." Anthony's mother said.

 

Panzela rubbed the back of her neck, "Yeah, but what else can I do? I'm not living with my parents, they'd kill me by the time they saw what I agree with. And it's not so hard."

Kairuto's stomach growled and he sweatdropped. "Eh... I guess I'm a bit hungry."

 

"Yes, but you should still have a guradian... What if something happens to you...?" She asked and then an idea suddenly sparked in her head. "I know! You can come stay with me and Anthony if you want!" She said, smiling.

Becky smiled. "You wanna go get something to eat...?" She asked Kairuto.

 

Kairuto nodded quicky. "Yeah!"

 

Panzela looked at her blankly for a second, "W-what?" she stuttered, "I don't, I don't want to impose on your family. I mean, I would love to, but I can just..." she stumbled through her words but a smile was breaking on her face and she suddenly threw her arms around her aunt. "I would love to auntie."

"Oh, you wouldn't be imposing at all!" She said and smiled, hugging Panzela. "Family has to look out for one another! And I'm sure Anthony will be just thrilled!"

"Alright... I'll go make something then..." Becky said and smiled. "It'll be done in a bit!" She walked inside the house.

BIC: Panzlea nodded, letting tears fall down. All she could think of was that she had a home with family, exactly what she had always run away from and what she wanted. Finally she let go and stood back grinning and wiping the tears from her face. "Thank you, thank you so much."

 

"You're so very welcome, Panzela!" She said, smiling.

 

"Then all I have... to... do..." Panzela slowed down, realizing what she had to do. "Is sell my house." she laughed, "Right, I forgot about that. Well it shouldn't be hard, I mean I can handle it. It looks like it was made to be sold in fact."

 

Her aunt nodded. "Right. Well, if you need any help, just let me know. In fact, I used to work in real estate..." She said, remembering.
