Will of Fire

Kairuto and Dai bumped into each other on their way out of class. "Oh, sor-" Kairuto met Dai's eyes. He cheeks turned a soft pink.

Dai blinked. "It's fine. You okay?"

Kairuto felt a pang in his chest. His heart was racing. "Y-yeah. I've... I've got to go." He ran to the boys bathroom.

Unwillingly, Rei emerged. "Well, we know what it is now. Seems your feelings for Dai-chan trigger the change."

Kairuto was still flustered. "I- I guess so..."

Dai slung her book bag over her shoulder. That was weird.

Becky laughed and threw the paper towel away. "No... It's alright..." She said and smiled. Then her face turned serious. "Umm... How long have I been out...?" She asked.

 

"You sure? Because they really deserve it... no, i'm kidding." Panzela smiled but then got serious, "Well you weren't out long. Maybe half an hour or so."

 

Rei smirked. "This could be fun for me."

"Hey, don't get any ideas!" Kairuto warned.

Rei looked out the small window in the bathroom door. He went outside of the bathroom, keeping his wings folded and started sauntering around the school.

"What are you doing?!" Kairuto asked.

"Freaking out the students." Rei chuckled. He headed towards the nurse's office with directions from Kairuto.

 

Becky walke out of the bathroom. "It was only a half an hour...?" Becky asked, thinking. An image popped into her head and she looked down. Niisama... She thought.

Akari looked up and saw Rei. She rolled her eyes. Show off... She thought.

Rei was tempted to stick his tongue out at Akari, but he just walked past her instead. He went into the nurse's office. "Yo."

The nurse just stared at Rei.

Dai went outside and looked at the clouds. Hm... Today might be a good day... Megumi hasn't done anything...

 

Becky turned to see Rei. "Rei...?" She said and her eyes widened. She could feel herself trembling a bit. It's not going to really happen... is it?! It was just a dream...! I-I think...

 

"Hey there." Rei went over to stand near Becky. "How ya feelin'?"

 

"Um... B-Better..." She said and smiled, trying hard not to make herself sound nervous. It doesn't seem like the dream will actually happen... But, still... I can't help but feel strange about the whole thing... Did it mean something? She wondered.

 

"Something wrong? You're aura's wavering." Rei put a hand on Becky's shoulder. "You sure you're feeling okay?"

 

Becky nodded and looked down. "Y-Yeah..." She said. "I-It was just a bad dream..."

 

"I wouldn't know." Rei said. "I've never had a dream. But don't worry about it, okay?"

 

Becky nodded and smiled. "Okay..." she said, but she couldn't help but worry. What if it's not just a dream...? I need to be cautious...

 

"What do ya say we get outta here?" Rei motioned to the window. "My wings could use a stretch."

 

"Sure..." Becky said and smiled.

Akito saw Akari under a tree and went over to her. "Do you know where Dai-chan is...?" he asked.

"No... Weren't you suppossed to keep an eye on here...?" Akari asked.

 

Rei picked up Becky's bag and then her, holding her in a tight but comfortable embrace. "See ya!" He waved to the nurse and then took off out the window. After gaining some altitude, Rei loosened his grip on Becky so she could look around.

Dai noticed Rei and watched him fly with Becky. She's so lucky. I'd kill to be held like that by Rei-san.

Becky closed her eyes once they took off, since it sort of scared her when they did. But once they were up in the air, she opened her eyes and looked around. It was amazing! You could see everything from where they were. She smiled as she looked down at the kids.

Dai started walking to the cable car station.
