"Yeah, I'm fine." Kairuto responded to Becky. "Go ahead. I'll be there soon." He stood up. "What is it?"

"Something bad..." Rei sighed.

 

"Alright..." Becky said. "But hurry or else it will get cold..." She smiled and ran back down the stairs, walking over to Panzela. "He'll be down in a minute..." She said.

BIC: Panzela nodded, "Brothers sleep alot, huh?" she said, smiling.

"Well... he usually doesn't... but he's been really tired lately..." She said and laughed.

BIC: Panzela laughed, "Well then, he's very special." she glanced around, "You have a really nice house."

 

"Out with it." Kairuto laughed.

"It's not funny." Rei was serious.

"What happened to the funny Rei?" Kairuto sat on his bed.

"He's on vacation." Rei chuckled but got back to being serious. "The connection of mine and Megumi's magic had a side effect on me... and I'm pretty sure her too. I don't know what her's is, but for me, I can't really control our changing anymore. I can still come out when I want to, but something might trigger an uncontrolled change... and I won't be able to stop it. And I don't know what the trigger is. It could be a color, your emotions, or a sound; it could be anything. Most likely though, it's your emotions. So try to keep cool."

"Come on, Rei. When am I not cool?" Kairuto tried to lighten the mood.

"Do you want to know the truth? Or one of those little white lies that don't hurt your feelings?" Rei laughed.

"Nevermind." Kairuto said aloud and then went downstairs to join Becky and Panzela.

 

"Thanks" Becky said and smiled.

 

"Well it's true. Hey Kairuto." Panzela greeted him, smiling. "That was some crash, did you fall out of bed or off the roof?" she joked.

"I meant to do it..." Kairuto laughed a bit. "How long was I out?"

 

"Hey, Kairuto..." becky said. "You were out for a couple hours or so..." She said.

 

Kairuto rubbed his head. "Eh, that's not too bad." He paused. "... Has anything happened?"

 

Becky looked down. "Well..." She wasn't sure if she should tell him about Akito or not. I should probably let him know so that he's aware of Akito not being on our side... she thought and took a deep breath. "Akito's working for the Hiwatari's now... permenantely..." She said, looking up at him.

 

Kairuto folded his arms. "... This is just getting harder."

 

Becky nodded. "Yeah..." She agreed. And it's gonna get even harder from here on out... she thought.

 

"Rei just told me some bad news..." Kairuto muttered. He explained to the girls, Becky mostly, about the side effect of the connection of Rei's and Megumi's magic. "He also thinks that it affected Megumi too."

 

"Oh no..." Becky said. "That can't be good... but how would it be affecting Megumi...? She's not in Dai's body anymore..." She said, thinking.

 

"That's the problem. And with all the power she's gained, I don't know if it really has had an effect on her. All we can do is wait until tomorrow at school and see if something has happened to Dai-chan." Kairuto said. I hope she's okay...

 

"Yeah... you're probably right..." Becky said. "I just hope that she isn't hurt, though..." Becky muttered silently, almost to herself.

 

Kairuto put his hands behind his head and smirked. "Wanna make a bet?"

 

"What...?" Becky asked, confused.
