Will of Fire

Panzela hesitated for a second and then hugged Becky, "I don't know." she said quietly, trying to comfort Becky through the hug.

 

Becky bit her lip as tears started to fill her eyes. A realization had come to her. "I know why..." Becky said as she allowed a single tear to fall down her cheek.

 

Panzela let her go and stepped back, "Some he cares for there?" she asked, causiously.

 

Becky nodded and stared at the ground.

 

"Dunce." Panzela muttered, shaking her head.

 

Becky gritted her teeth. Akari... I'm going to slaughter you... She thought angrily and clenched her fists.

 

"I really am sorry, Becky." Panzela said, "Do you want to go on a walk or something?

 

Becky took a deep breath to help her calm down. "Y-Yeah..." She said. "T-That's a good idea..." She walked over to the front door and opened it for Panzela to walk through.

 

Panzela walked out after her and closed the door behind her, "You know," she began trying to sound light agian to get Becky's mind off Akito, "I wonder why we go to school sometimes. I think everyone's sort of goes for habit now, it's not very important anymore, is it?"

 

"And what do you have to offer this family?" Hiwatari asked.

Megumi appeared before Dai and Akari. She looked completely worn out. "It has a... side effect... I can't... stay separated from Dai-sama anymore..."

Wizard's fur stood on end and he angrily pointed at Megumi. "Kyuu!!"

Megumi smirked. "Heh, heh... So you found yourself a familiar? That'll come in handy..." She muttered and then merged back with Dai.

Dai put a hand on her chest. "What...?"

 

[COLOR="Orange]Akito thought for a moment. "I can offer you all of my power... And perhaps I have some information that may prove useful to you..." He said, smirking.[/COLOR]

[COLOR="DarkOrchid"]Akari just watched as Megumi went back into Dai. Typical... She thought and sighed.[/COLOR]

Becky walked with Panzela and stopped as they neared the Hiwatari's house. She saw Akito at the front door. I don't want him to try talking to me... She thought and stopped. "Actually... i think I'm going to go home..." Becky said. "There's something I... forgot to do..." She started to run back towards the Aymue household. "Bye!" She shouted and waved to Panzela. Once she arrived at the house, she walked in and closed the door behind her. She felt she should probably let Kairuto know what just happened, so she walked up to his room and knocked gently on the door. "Niisama...?" She asked. "You in there...?"

 

Snoring could be heard from Kairuto's room.

"Hey, wait. I don't get a say in this?" Dai said.

"No... You never had a choice... and you never will..." Megumi muttered. "Now shut up... I need to rest..."

Memories came back to Dai like a flood. She took Wizard off her shoulder and held him close. She took a couple steps back from Akari. Dammit... She was trying to trick me, wasn't she?

Wizard wined.

"Information and power?" Hiwatari thought for a moment. "Very well. You're hired."

 

Akari could see that Dai was remembering. "Dai... Those memories you're seeing are of the past... Things are different now..." she said and smiled.

"Thank you, sir..." Akito said. "What would you like me to do...?"

Becky heard the snoring. I'll just talk to him later... She thought and walked downstairs.

 

"Different how?" Dai asked sceptically.

"It's too late for you to start anything. Tomorrow is school, come to me afterwards. And walk home with my daughter." Hiwatari instructed.

 

"Different as in kinder..." she said. "And I've realized that I haven't been treating you right... you're my sister and I should treat you more like one... I had no intention of tricking you..." Akari explained.

"Alright," Akito said to Hiwatari. "Thank you, again." Akito turned around and started to walk away.

Becky walked into their kitchen and grabbed an apple from the fridge. She washed it and then took a bite out of it.

 

"I don't trust you." Dai said simply and started walking back to the Hiwatari house.

"Kyuu..." Wizard said softly.

"Yeah... You're welcome..." Dai smiled a bit. "Don't you worry, Wiz. I'll be here for you as long as you're here for me."

 

Akari smirked. "Oh well. I guess there's no point in trying to be nice if they won't treat you nice back..." She said and walked the other direction towards the park.

Akito went back to his house and went up tohis room.

Becky finished the apple and threw the core in the sink. It's getting late... I should probably make dinner... She thought and started to make dinner.

 

Dai went to her room and shut the door, locking it just in case. She set Wizard on her bed and then went to her window.

BIC: Panzela waved to Becky and vaguely looked around before swinging herself into a tree. "What else is there to do?" she asked no one, smiling to herself.
