Will of Fire

Panzela saw Becky and Kairuto hugging and smiled when she walked past. Oh, okay, they're there. that's good, 'means Becky's okay. I wonder where Dai is, I bet she's fine.

 

"And he got told by Panzela-chan earlier too." Kairuto laughed.

"Do you have to point out THAT??" Rei sighed. "I just did that to let her feel better."

 

Panzela sat down on a bench and looked up at the sky, now that she knew that at least someone was here, it made her feel at peace. Wow, emtions are fickle things. she smiled.

 

Akito took a deep breath and walked forward, stopping a few feet away from the two. "Umm... Becky...?" he asked, rubbing the back of his head nervously.

Becky couldn't help but laugh at that. She then noticed Akito and turned to face him, her smile fading. "Yeah...?" she asked.

"Do you mind if I talk to you alone for a second...?" he asked.

"Yes... I do mind..." Becky said. She felt anger rising up inside of her. "Why don't you go mess with someone else's head?!"

 

Kairuto put a hand on Becky's shoulder and then stepped in front of her. "Leave my sister alone." He glared at Akito.

"I dare you to punch him." Rei joked.

"Only if he gives me an excuse." Kairuto was serious.

 

"Please, Becky... I need to tell you why I've been acting the way I have..." he said, ignoring Kairuto's order.

"I don't care!" Becky shouted, her eyes filling with tears. "You've said enough as it is... Just leave me alone!" She clenched her fists and immediately turned, running away.

"Becky... wait!" he shouted and then sighed, seeing that she continued to run.

 

Kairuto really was about to punch Akito, but just ran after Becky instead.

"Wow..." Dai muttered. "I should leave now..."

Wizard stuck his tongue out at Akito and transported Dai to her room in a flash of red light.

 

Akito just sighed and turned around, walking away. Great... she hates me now... he thought.

Becky just kept running, not stopping at all. Tears had begun to flow down her cheeks. I don't need him saying anything to me... I know what he's up to... She thought.

 

"Neesan, wait up!" Kairuto called as he ran after her.

Becky continued to run, but she soon collapsed on the ground, sobbing. She felt horrible inside... worse than she had ever felt before. Akito... You jerk... she thought.

Akari couldn't stop laughing. She was so amused with this.

Akito looked at the sky. I need some help... he thought.

Panzela stood up suddenly as they ran past her, Woah, what the?! she looked down the road and saw Akito looking miserable and then looked at Becky, also miserable. Oh... she knew that Kairuto would take care of Becky so she walked up to Akito, "What happened?" she asked, making herself not sound acuising.

 

Akito turned to look at Panzela and then rubbed the back of his head. "Nothing, really... Becky just hates me now..." he said and sighed. "And you know what? I really don't blame her..."

 

Panzela crossed her arms and looked directly at him, "So, you tried to talk to her and she ran away, I'm sorry about that." she paused, "I think you need to let her be for awhile, she seems to need space. Here, let's walk, you need space too."

 

Aki walked around when she saw her house but she could not make herself open the door so she stood at the door with her hand on the handle

 

Kairuto knelt by Becky and put an arm around her shoulders.

 

Akito sighed. "Alright..." he said. "After what I've done, I can only imagine that she'd need to be left alone for a bit..."

Becky sat on her hands and knees, crying. Why did this have to happen...?! Things could've been so much easier...! She thought as she weeped. She didn't even look up as Kairuto came over to her, but having him there made her feel more comfortable.

 

Dai stared blankly out her window, holding Wizard close to her. "Nothing's gonna change until Megumi is dead..." She muttered.

"Kyuu..." Wizard agreed.

 

Akari fell asleep on her bed.

Akito began to walk with Panzela.

Becky wiped her eyes with the back of her hand. She then looked up at Kairuto and stood up.

 

"You gonna be okay?" Kairuto asked as he stood up.

Wizard jumped out of Dai's arms and ran into Akari's room.

"Wiz! Get back her!" Dai ran after him and stopped dead in Akari's door frame. "Wiz... come here.... Don't wake her up..." She said quietly.

"Kyuu?" Wizard moved closer to Akari, sniffing the air.

"No. Wiz, get over here!" Dai whispered.
