Will of Fire

Megumi smirked and disappeared in a swirl of white feathers.

Dai grit her teeth. "Coward!!"

 

"Yeah, how on earth does she want to kill us if she keeps running away? By the Gods, I wish she'd just stay and finish it with us." Panzela grit her teeth and turned to Dai, "Are you okay?"

 

Dai folded her arms. "Yeah. I'm starting to remember some things. But none that can help me."

 

"I don't know, you remembered not to trust her." Panzela felt the anger ebbing away and she turned to Becky. Tears came to her eyes but she blinked them back and knelt by her. "Maybe this will help her." she pulled the small potion bottle from her pocket.

 

"Wha-" Dai turned to face Panzela and Becky. "No...." Her vision blurred with tears.

 

Panzela wanted to help Dai feel better but didn't want to waste more of Becky's time. She opened Becky's mouth and droped in five messured drops of her poition in her mouth. (Alot for any other cause but for bringing a dead person back it seemed right). Then she closed Becky's mouth and put the poition back. "Please work." she whispered, starting to shake.

 

OOC- well... actually... she's really suppossed to be dead... O_o although Akito does have a plan... :D

Akari quickly ran over to Panzela and struck her with her sword. "And what do you think you're doing...?" she asked rhetorically. "I don't believe I was done with you..." She grinned.

Akito ran up behind Akari and picked up Becky's body. The potion didn't seem to have any effect... although the wound did look like it had healed a little bit. I can't believe I did that... he thought and carried her quickly back into the Hiwatari's house. But I had to... it was the only way... she had even said that she would rather die instead of letting the Hiwatari's get what they want. He placed Becky down against a wall and sat down next to her, his head in his hands.

 

Dai glared at Akari thinking of helping Panzela. But when she saw Akito take Becky, she didn't give a second thought to Akari. "Get back here!" She chased after Akito.

 

Akito heard Dai and jumped up, turning to face her. he took out his doubleswords. "You're going to fight for somebody that's already dead...?" he asked and laughed.

 

Dai put her hands on her hips. "I don't know anything about you. Why don't you start by telling me if you're with or against Becky-chan?"

 

Akito stared at her. He wasn't really sure what he should say, since Akari was right there listening. "Against..." he said. "Why else would I have done that...? She's a lying, backstabbing little runt..." He looked down at the ground but still kept an eye on Dai.

 

"Then why is there guilt in your eyes?" Dai asked, catching his eyes before he lowered his head. Something about Akito was telling her to hold off a bit before fighting him.

 

"You'd feel guilty if you just killed somebody... wouldn't you?" he asked, staring her directly in the eyes. Geez... this chick never gives up... he thought.

 

Dai rolled her eyes. "You've never killed anyone before, have you?"

 

Akito blinked, a bit surprised at the question. "No... I haven't..." he said and glanced over at Becky.

 

Dai read Akito's movements. "Did you... like her?"

 

Akito glared at her. "T-That's none of your business..." he said, feeling guilt rise up in him.

 

"Perhaps not." Dai shrugged. "I know what it's like to kill someone you loved."

 

Akito looked down. "I-I don't love her anymore... she lied..." he said and gripped his swords tighter.

 

"You don't love her 'cause she lied? One lie shattered your love? Holy sh*t, it must have been a big lie." Dai ignored the swords.
