Will of Fire

Akito glared at Rei but did as he was told. He knew that Rei couldn't focus on both of them.

"You're right... I don't need a hostage..." she said. "I need your weakness..." Akari lifted up the kunai and stabbed it into Becky's arm. "I think you'll find it best to give in... before poor Becky here loses her life..." she said and laughed.

Becky let out a weak yell of pain as she felt the kunai stab into her arm. She did her best to open her eyes and look around. I can't let her win... she thought.

 

Rei grit his teeth. Dammit!

"Do as she says, Rei! Please!" Kairuto begged.

The tendrils of darkness came back to Rei, fading into his hands. His wings drooped and he looked at Akari. "Fine. I surrender."

 

Akito instantley took out his doubleswords. "Don't give in yet..." he said.

Akari laughed again. "What do you plan on doing...?" she asked Akito. "You're in no position to go against me..."

"Oh, really...?" Akito asked and threw one of his doubleswords at Akari's hands, making her have to pull away from becky to dodge. Instantely, he went over and stood between Becky and Akari. "You leav her alone..." he said, holding his other doublesword in his hand.

Akari looked over at Rei. Shoot... I was so close, too... she thought.

Becky looked over at Rei. He gave in for me...? she thought. He really would do that... just to save me...? But... why would he... or Akito... put themselves in danger just to help me...? I'm not worth shedding blood over... she closed her eyes.

Rei held Akito with tendrils of darkness again. "Control yourself. Learn when you're beat."

"What are you doing?!" Kairuto asked.

"Here's how it goes: we go with her, we get close to Hiwatari, we take out Hiwatari before he can raise what I'm theorizing he will, then we take out Megumi. It won't be easy, but it's worth a shot." Rei explained.

 

Akito looked at Rei in complete shock. "What are you doing?!" he asked. "I know when I'm beaten... and I'm not, yet!" he exclaimed. "You're really going to give in?! Just like that?!"

When Becky heard that, she forced herself to use the very little energy that she had to move. She pushed her hands onto the ground to push herself up. "K-Kairuto... R-Rei... D-Don't..." she said, giving them a pleading look. She forced herself to sit up. Even if I can't stay like this for long... I can't be laying on thr ground while I talk to him... she thought.

Akari smirked as she watched Rei. He's more foolish than I thought... she thought and grinned.

 

Rei forced himself to sound angry. "Shut up, you two.Your place in this is over."

"Jeez, don't make her feel useless." Kairuto said.

"I've got to if we want this to work." Rei explained.

 

Panzela watched them, not knowing what to do or say. Ah Hells...

 

Becky's eyes widened and she stared up at Rei, shocked. Why is he acting like this...? she thought and looked down.

Akito gritted his teeth but looked down as well, saying nothing more.

Akari grinned. Even though the odds are against me... he still chose to give in... he's so foolish... she thought and walked up to Rei. "So your decision is final...?" she asked.

 

Rei wanted so badly to punch Akari, but he held himself back. "Yeah, Bob Barker. Is the price right?" He mocked.

 

OOC- omg... *facepalm* I laughed so hard at that... lol... XD

"Whatever..." Akari said and rolled her eyes. She tied Rei's hand behind his back even though she knew he could easily get out of it. Just a precaution... she thought.

Akito remained silent. That fool... what does he plan on doing?! he thought.

Becky felt tears start to fall down her cheeks. "P-Please... D-Don't..." She begged, not wanting the Hiwatari family to be able to get what they want. And she didn't like seeing them in danger. But she knew her protesting probably wouldn't work... although it was worth a shot.

 

Rei gave the two a thumbs up behind his back so Akari couldn't see. He knew that by the time he was at the Hiwatari house, his wing would be better and he'd have a better chance in a fight. "You ready for this?"

"Use whatever magic you want. I don't care." Kairuto said, even though he knew it would hurt him.

 

Panzela knelt by Becky and whispered to her, "He knows what he's doing." she wanted to say more to comfort Becky but didn't want to risk it yet.

 

"Alright... let's go already..." Akari said and walked out of the room with Rei.

Tears still fell down Becky's cheeks. Even if he does know what he's doing... he'll just end up hurt... she thought and looked down again.

Akito looked over at Becky sadly. I hate seeing her like this... I wish I could comfort her somehow... he thought.

 

Rei sighed in a bored way to annoy Akari. "So... What do want with me?"

 

"We need to figure out what we're going to do." Panzela said, once Rei and Akari had left. And I have to tell Dai what's going on.

 

Becky laid back on the ground, unable to hold herself up any longer. "We can't do anything..." she said. "When R-Rei has a plan... He always wants me to s-stay out of it..." she studdered. I just hope that it goes the way they want it to... I can't just sit back and do nothing... but I can't go after them either... she thought.

"Who cares what Rei wants...?" Akito asked. "He's being foolish... and we have to go after him..." he said. He hadn't meant to make it sound so harsh, though.

Akari was really starting to get annoyed with Rei. "We need your power..." she said to Rei, refusing to say anymore.

OOC- good point... why is the Hiwatari family after Rei...? Oh and are the tendrils that were on Akito gone...?

 

"We do have to do something but thing is it can't be anything stupid like rushing in after him. It has to be something that would be helpful and not get anyone hurt." Panzela stood up. "Look, I have to go back to my house and tell Dai at least a summary of what's going on. You guys want to come or should I come back here?"

 

OOC: they need him and megumi awaken the beasty (lol jack sparrow) and yeah they're gone

BIC: That just makes me more sure of what they're doing. Rei thought. "And you want me to go along with this because...?"
