Will of Fire

Panzela was a bit startled by this discription of them, "Um, not really, but I suppose we were as close in a manner of speaking. Would you like to go back to my house? I can make you something to eat and maybe see if Kairuto and Becky will come over... to talk about what happened."

 

Dai vaguely remembered Panzela but she knew that she was alone now and Panzela was the only one she remembered, so she decided to stick with her. "A-alright."

"That's good to know..." Kairuto's eyes glazed over and he passed out.

 

Panzela smiled vaguely and led Dai to her house. "I'll make us something to eat first. Okay?" she went to the kitchen and pulled out stuff to make dinner. "Ask anything you want."

"K-Kairuto...?!" Becky asked, seeing that he had passed out. She bent down and picked him up, placing him on the bed. She made sure he would be alright before going out of the room for a bit. She ran down to her room and grabbed the book, and then came back to where Kairuto was and sat down near the bed, looking through the book. Once again, she flickered from her first form to her second, only to end up back on her second form again.

Rei separated from Kairuto in a flash of darkness. His right wing had only slightly improved. "That must have been harder than I thought on him." He mumbled. "Don't worry, he and I can split without the side effects that Megumi causes Dai-chan."

Dai requested Miso. She put her hands on her head. Kairuto.... Becky.... are they my friends too...?

 

Becky looked at Kairuto's sleeipng body on the bed. I wish I could do something to help him... she thought and then an idea came to her head. Wait a sec...! Maybe I can...! She began flipping through the book looking for anything that might help heal Kairuto... and to see what was going on with her powers.

 

Rei put a sturdy hand on Becky's shoulder. His usually joking self had been replaced by a more serious persona. "Stop using that book. It's nothing but trouble."

 

Becky stopped flipping through the pages and thought for a moment. He's right... every time I try to use it... I get hurt... It might hurt Kairuto even more if I try to heal him... she thought and closed the book. "Yeah... you're right..." she said and looked up at Rei.

 

"The best you can do for him now is just let him rest." Rei said. I shouldn't have used that blast of magic... He patted her head. "You did good."

 

Becky looked down at her hands and smiled. "Alright..." She said and then closed her eyes tight, once AGAIN flickering from her first and second form. What in the world is going on...?! she thought.

 

Rei brushed Becky's cheek with his left wing. "You're power is getting too much for you to handle, isn't it?"

 

Becky now went back to her second form, breathing heavily. She was a bit surprised when he said that. She couldn't figure out what it was. "H-How can you tell...?" she asked.

 

"I've had a lot of experience in that field." Rei said. "I'm am almost 300 you know."

 

Becky laughed. "Yeah..." she said and smiled. She closed her eyes. But soon, she felt the pain in her chest again and it was too much, so it caused her to pass out.

 

Rei picked up Becky and sat in Kairuto's desk chair with Becky sideways on his lap so that her head was on his chest. His wings folded around them to help keep Becky warm. Jeez, Kairuto, wake up...

 

Becky finally faded back to her original form.

 

Rei smiled a bit. With some time, I should be able to figure out a way to balance out her power. He thought.

 

A cold sweat started to run down Becky's forehead. She was having a strange dream of some guy... he looked familiar... but she didn't remember ever seeing him before.

 

Rei's hand glowed with a dark aura and he placed it on Becky's foerhead to help regulate her body temperature.

 

Becky could see herself hanging out with the boy... she was a child. They were enjoying the time that they spent together... and now Becky started to vaguely remember who he was. Akito...? she thought. A tear ran down her cheek. What ever happened to him...? Between us...?
