Will of Fire

Kairuto sat on the couch. "The scroll is said to separate the White Wings from its Tamer... and it grants the White Wings unmatchable power..." He sighed. "But Megumi took most of Dai-chan's power too... I could tell by how pale and fragile she looked... She probably doesn't remember anything, either..."

 

Becky's face turned White. "Is Dai-chan okay...?" she asked.

 

"I'd like to say yes, but I don't think so. I know it's late, but we should find her." Kairuto tried to stand up but just fell back onto the couch.

Dai left Panzela's house and headed for the park. Her breath showed in puffs in the cold night air. Why do I feel so weird?

Becky put a hand on his shoulder. "Please stay home and rest..." she said. "I'm sure Panzela is taking care of her... and you're injured..." She looked over to the window. Suddenly, she felt a sharp pain in her chest. What the heck...?! she thought.

Panzela went after her, "Dai, Dai wait!" she caught her shoulder to stop her. "I don't know what's going on with you, but maybe we can figure it out. Will you come back to my house with me so we can try?"

 

"Leave me alone." Dai quickened her pace.

Kairuto looked at Becky, instantly forgetting his own pains. "What's wrong?"

 

Becky put a hand to her chest and fell to one knee, coughing up blood. She couldn't awnser Kairuto. She flickered back and forth from her original form to her second form. What's going on...? Did I stay in my second form for too long...? she thought.

 

Kairuto held on to Becky. Was this Megumi's fault?

Becky could feel herself trembling as she went back to her second form. It stayed that way, and the pain in her chest remained. I have to see what's wrong... she thought and tried to stand up. It's got to be somewhere in that book...

 

Kairuto held on to Becky's wrist. "It was that book wasn't it?"

 

Panzela stood there, watching her walk away. She clenched her fists and was shaking. I gave up my job for, for her? What kind of idiot am I!? "Dai, please don't make my mistake such a waste." she called in a slightly higher than usual voice, not able to think of anything else to say.

 

ooc so what has happened?

 

OOC: megumi split from dai and now dai doesn't have any memory (as far as we know) kairuto and becky are talking about something because Becky is hurt (i think) from a book that gave her power (again, i think) that's it. ^^

 

ooc ok thank you (I think ^^) so I'll just wait for an opening.....again

 

Becky looked back at Kairuto. "Y-Yeah..." she said, struggling through the pain in her chest. She felt like she could pass out any second.

 

Kairuto picked up Becky like a baby and took her to her room. He laid her on her bed. "Just stay here. I'll figure out a way to help." He was sweating from the seemingly small task.

"What do you know about me?" Dai stopped and face Panzela.

 

"N-No... I-I can do it..." Becky said and forced herself to sit up. She didn't want to seem weak... and he really needed to rest... wasn't it her job to make sure that he's safe...?

 

"I know that you were the white wings tamer, that you are stubborn, and that you are no longer important to your father. I'll try and answer anything I can but actully I think we should talk to Kairuto, he's someone who might be able to help us, after you rest." Panzela was still shaking but was relived that Dai was listening.

 

Dai bit her tongue, a bit weirded out that this girl knew so much about her. "... You're Panzela-chan, right...? We're best friends, aren't we...?"

Kairuto leaned against the wall. "I'm alright. You don't have to worry about me."

"Yeah, that's my job." Rei joked.

"Thanks." Kairuto said sarcastically.

 

"You don't look alright..." Becky said and smiled wearily. "Neither of us are okay... but I can manage... you don't have to worry about me, either..." she said and stood up.
