Will of Fire

Megumi pointed a finger at Becky, sending a blast of light towards her. "This is getting to be too easy."

Dammit! I can fly to them! Rei grit his teeth. "Becky-chan, get out of here!"

 

Becky jumped out of the way of the blast. "I'm not leaving..." she said to Kairuto.

 

"If you want to stay so badly-" Megumi put a barrier of light around Becky. "Then stay."

"Leave her out of this!" Rei felt a pang in his chest. He looked down at the white feather sticking out of it. When did she-? He yanked it out.

"You're starting to bore me. At least try." Megumi smirked.

 

Dang it... Becky thought and tried breaking out of the barrier by using a light blue aura.

 

Megumi kept part of her mind on the barrier, holding it steady. She sent another blast of light at Rei.

Rei put up a sheild of darkness, but the light went straight through it, hitting him dead on. He slid backwards.

 

Becky tried harder to break free.

 

Megumi focused more on Rei and a crack formed in the light sheild.

Rei coughed up blood. It's too much light... I've got to end this quickly....

Megumi flew down to Rei. "No attack?" She punched him in the gut, sending him to the ground.

Rei's head fogged. He shot a stream of darkness at Megumi.

Megumi leaned to the side to dodge the darkness. "That wasn't much. I'd expect more from someone who's been fighting me for almost 300 years now. I guess it's because your Tamer is weak this time. That's why you should get rid of them. Like I did with Dai."

 

Becky struck the light as hard as she could.

 

The light shield shattered but Megumi paid no attention.

Rei stood, wobbling.

Megumi put a hand on his shoulder. "Look how your Tamer holds you back. It's pathetic."

Rei jerked away from her. "He doesn't hold me back. You just don't know how to combine power."

 

Becky ran up and punched Megumi again. "Leave him alone!" she shouted.

 

Megumi knocked Becky aside effortlessly. She drew a feather and flipped it around in her fingers. "Combine power, huh? You speak nonsense." She drove the feather into Rei's shoulder.

Rei yelled. "I can't even lift a finger against her... We're gonna have to draw back..."

"Got it." Kairuto fully agreed.

 

Becky clenched her fists. "Are you alright...?" she asked Rei.

 

Rei kicked Megumi backwards and pulled out the feather. He was pale and panting. "I'm fine..."

"I'd call that a lie." Megumi encased Rei in light and pressured the case. She let it disappear after a moment.

Rei dropped to the ground. His wings disinagrated and he changed back to Kairuto.

Megumi laughed. "That wasn't as much fun as I thought it would be."

 

OOC: *facepalm* dang, i'm alone again. lol

BIC: Panzela, hearing the fight on the air, ran to the museum. "Megumi, stop!" she yelled, flicking her blades out and running to stand between her and Kairuto. There's something different about her, I can feel it but I can't place it.

 

Becky's eyes widened. "Kairuto!" she shouted and ran over, kneeling next to him. He's badly injured... she thought.

 

"You want to fight me?" Megumi laughed. "You're in over your head."

Kairuto's eyes half opened. "Guess we... were... outmatched..."

 

Panzela looked her straight in the eyes, "No,I don't want to fight you. But if you don't stop, I will fight you. Don't try and scare me, it won't work."

 

Becky looked at him worridley. Maybe I can try something from that book... she thought and put her hands over Kairuto. Heal... she thought and her hands started glowing.

 

Kairuto winced. "When'd you learn that...?"

Megumi snapped her fingers and Dai appeared in a swirl of white feathers. She dropped Dai to the ground. "I have no more use for her." Megumi spread her wings and flew away.

 

Panzela flicked her blades back and ran over to Dai. She picked her up enough to support her. "We should get out of here." she said, looking at Becky. Then she started walking out of the building, supporting Dai on her shoulders.
