"What business do you have?" Hiwatari asked, not really interested.

"I can't get anything. We'll just have to look." Rei said. "Start where she likes to hang out."

Kairuto headed for the park.

Dai folded her arms. Great... now I'm bored...

 

Akari stared at Hiwatari. "Well... I found Becky of the Ayume family lying in a fiel nearby and brought her here... I have her locked up in a room..." She explained. "I thought she might be useful somehow..."

Becky hung her head and closed her eyes. she tried to see if she could use a technique she had learned to send Kairuto a telapathic message. Kairuto...? she said, hoping it would work.

OOC- it's up to u if it works or not ^^

 

"You know, I think it's sweet that you like him, I think you should ignore your family and go for it. But then what do I know, I'm just the help." Panzela said after awhile, not looking up from her drawing. She knew that Dai would either explode or deny everything, but what did it matter.

 

Dai's face turned bright red. "Sh-shut up."

Kairuto stopped. "Did you hear that?"

"That's your sister, partner." Rei confirmed.

Niisan, where are you? Kairuto borrowed a bit of Rei's power to talk with Becky.

"Good work. Rei-kun went through the trouble of saving her once. I'm sure he'll come again. When he does, drain his power so that he reverts back to his Tamer." Hiwatari said.

 

"Whatever you say." Panzela replied calmly, looking at her finished picture. "Do you think Becky and Kairuto will like this?" she asked, holding up the picture for Dai to see. It was a sketch of the two siblings together.

"Yes, sir..." Akari said and nodded. She walked off. What can I drain his energy with...? she thought and went to the library.

Niisama! she said, glad that it had worked. Listen... I'm stuck at the Hiwatari house... but don't come look for me... I know that it's a trap... she explained.

 

Kairuto thought for a moment. We can handle 'em! We're on our way!

"She just said it was a trap, are you nuts?" Rei sighed.

"Just a bit." Kairuto replied. He walked through the park, past Panzela and Dai, towards the Hiwatari household.

"I'll take it from here, partner. Otherwise they'll see you." Rei waited until Kairuto was out of the park and no one was around. He took over and flew towards the front door of the Hiwatari house.

Dai looked over her shoulder at the picture. "It's really good." She said.

 

Becky's eyes widened. No... Kairuto... don't! she said. I don't want you to get hurt... or captured... please don't... I can take care of myself... she looked down and tears started falling down her cheeks. They wouldn't tell me what they were going to do... but I know it's bad! Don't do exactly what they want you to do...! she looked up as the door opened and the same girl walked in, carrying a small, gun-like machine in her hands. She smirked as she had it pointed at Becky.

She walked towards Becky, smirking. "We need you to test something out for us so we'll be ready for your brother..." she said and smirked. "You don't mind, do you? Good... because I don't care... even if you do..." She laughed and held the machine right up at Becky's head and pressed a button on the side.

Becky wanted to say something to her but she started to feel weaker and weaker. The machine was draining her energy. Crap... I have to do something... she thought, trying to pull away.

 

Rei folded his wings around himself like a ball and crashed through the window of the room Becky was in. He opened his wings and landed softly. Then he swiftly kicked Akari's hand away from Becky. "Let her go!"

 

"Agh!" Akari let out a yell when he kicked her hand and acidentally dropped the machine. She glared at him. "I guess you're pretty clever..." she said, but was smirking.

Becky looked up weakly as Rei flew into the room, her eyes half lidded. She smiled, glad that they weren't hurt.

 

Rei folded his arms. "Thanks, but I didn't come here to listen to praise. Release her, now!"

 

Why should I?!" She asked and took out her doubleswords. But then she smirked again. "I can keep her here as long as I want... but you might ant to be careful what you say to me..." she said and held one of the swords to Becky's throat.

Becky closed her eyes. Dang it, Kairuto... get out of here! she shouted at him.

 

Kairuto ignored Becky. "Be careful, Rei."

"I know!" Rei grit his teeth. "What do you want with her?"

OOC: srry i got to go. open house from 1-4. i'll be back around 5-ish

 

"With her...? Nothing..." Akari said and smirked. "I want you to surrender to the Hiwatari family..." She made a small cut on Becky's neck, grinning. "Unless you'd rather see her die, of course..." she said.

Becky gritted her teeth from the pain of the sword. I have to convince him to leave... she thought.

BIC: Rei winked at Becky and then hung his head. "Alright. I surrender."

Becky's eyes widened when he said that. R-Rei... K-Kairuto... she thought. Even though he had winked at her, she didn't feel any better about it.

Akari scoffed. "Right... like I'm suppossed to believe you..." she said and bent down, picking up the energy remover. "Prove it..." She said and pointed the machine at him.

 

"This is gonna hurt. Can you handle it, buddy?" Rei asked.

Kairuto didn't hesitate. "Bring it on."

"You know what this means, don't you?" Rei wanted to make sure Kairuto was okay with this.

"I don't care! My sister's life is on the line! Just do what you have to!" Kairuto said.

Rei smiled a bit. He held up his hands. "Better?"

 

Akari smirked. "Much..." she said and pressed the button.

"R-Rei..." Becky said and her eyes started to fill with tears. Why won't they listen to me...?!

 

Rei extended one of his wings and gently wiped Becky's tears with the soft feathers. He smiled through the pain. "Don't be sad..."

Kairuto felt like something was being torn away from him. "Rei?!"

"Hang in there..." Rei shut his eyes. "I won't be able to do much after this... but I'll still be here... Keep your sister safe..."

 

Becky looked at Rei but then looked back down, closing her eyes. She felt tears fall down her cheeks... how could she not be sad? She was suppossed to help protect him... and he was her brother... she didn't want to see him hurt.

Akari kept the machine pointed at Rei and smirked.
