Dammit! Dai grit her teeth.

Megumi smiled. "That's more like it."

"Don't tell them anything!" Dai moved, getting cut more by the feathers.

Megumi held tighter. "Hold your tongue."

A window broke open, showering glass on everyone. The silhouette of a muscular, young, winged man floated in the frame of the window.

"How nice, he showed up all by himself." Megumi snickered. "How 'bout an introduction?"

"I am Rei, the Black Wings of the Ayume family. Release the girl and let Becky-niisan go." Rei demanded.

"I don't think I like those terms." Megumi looked over at Becky. "You've been a great help."

"Don't talk to her!" Rei landed next to Becky. "You okay?" He muttered, keeping his eyes on Megumi and Dai.

OOC: i took the black wings until we can find another. here is rei (that is the actual black wings from d n angel)

Becky looked up at Rei. "Yeah... I'm fine..." she said and looked back at Megumi. Thank goodness he showed up... she thought. I probably would've said his real name... I need to focus more on my family... and less on my friends... what do I care what happens to Dai? My family is more important... right...? *sigh* How could I even think that...?

 

Panzela smirked behind the corner, waiting for them to find her. She knew they would, well maybe they'd ignore her but so far, there was no reason so far to come out and if they decided not to pay attention to her, she could queitly listen. Either way it worked for her.

OOC: yeah, very cool black wings ^^

 

"Let's get out of here, Rei!" Kairuto urged.

"I'm on it, partner." Rei hugged Becky close to him and took off through the window without a word.

Megumi released Dai. "Should I go after them?"

"No." Hiwatari watched Rei's shape against the night sky. "Dai will take care of it."

Dai put a hand to her neck to try to stop the bleeding. He knows that I know who it is.... Rei's face came to her mind again and felt her cheeks grow warm. What is this feeling? She smiled at bit. I like it.

 

Panzela walked out of the house quietly, happy that no fight broke out but happier that she had gotten some important information. I won't tell my boss, this is just another thing I'll keep to myself.

 

"Did they hurt you?" Rei asked Becky.

Hiwatari turned to face Dai. "Dai, tomorrow-"

"Yeah, I know." Dai said. But it's not like I'm gonna do it.

Megumi merged back with Dai in a shimmer of light.

"You could've told me you were gonna do that." Dai complained.

"If I did, you wouldn't have cooperated." Megumi pointed out.

Dai sighed. "Duh."

 

"No... I'm fine..." Becky said and smiled. "Thanks..." she said.

 

"Not a problem. Kairuto said he had a bad feeling. So we switched and he led me. Glad we got there in time." Rei smiled. "What did they want?"

 

"They wanted to know your name..." she said. "They asked me who the Black Wings was and said that if I refused to tell them then they'd kill Dai..." She looked down, feeling guilty that she was about to cave in... but she knew to never do that again... family was more important.

 

"Lowlife." Rei rolled his eyes. "Knowing my name won't do them any good. They need to know that it's Kairuto."

"Hey, Rei, could we land in the park?" Kairuto asked.

"Sure thing." Rei flapped his wings once to gain speed. He descended slowly and landed by the fountain in the park. "Alright, buddy, your turn." Rei let go of Becky and receded.

Kairuto shook his hair. "Woo, that was cool. What'd you think of our entrance?" He smiled.

 

"Yeah..." Becky said as they landed on the ground. She smiled at Kairuto. "It was great..." she said and laughed a little. Him and Rei are completely different... she thought. Yet they're the same...

BIC: "So that girl was Dai?" Kairuto asked. "Doesn't seem like her and the White Wings have the relationship that Rei and I do. That's kinda sad..."

 

"They don't..." Becky said. "I think they actually hate each others guts... I don't even think Dai knew what was going to happen..." she said.

"That sucks." Kairuto sighed. "Well, we should be getting home. Ya know, school and stuff tomorrow."

 

"Yeah..." Becky said and nodded. She began walking towards their house. "So... where have you been all this time...?" she asked him. "I haven't seen you around school or anything..."

 

Kairuto laughed nervously. "We were... uh.. out." He kept pace with Becky. "Rei told me not to tell anyone. I guess he thinks what we did is, like, top secret or somethin'."

 

"Oh... um... okay..." Becky said and smiled.

 

"Hey, you sure you're alright? We haven't really talked since Rei and I merged..." Kairuto said.

 

"Yeah... I'm fine..." becky said and forced a smile. She was actually worried about Dai, though... what if Megumi hurt her even more...?
