Will of Fire

"Maybe we should take her to the nurses then..." Panzela suggested, not very confinced herself.

 

Akito looked around before putting his hand back on Becky's forehead and closing his eyes. It glowed slightly, and then dimmed.

 

Dai hurried out of the room the second Akari pricked her finger. She didn't give Becky, Akito, or Panzela a second look as she passed them to the small lunch courtyard.

 

Panzela noticed Dai running out but put it down to going to the nurses and quickly looked back at Becky. "What did you do?" she asked, confused.

 

Akari laughed when she saw Dai run out of the room.

"You'll see..." Akito muttered under his breath and put his hands on Becky's shoulders. "Becky..?" he said in a soft, soothing voice.

Becky could hear a soft voice, calling out to her... It sounded almost like a lullaby, and she soon opened her eyes. "Akito...?" She said softly. Her vission was somewhat blurred and she was unfocused.

 

Panzela kept quiet and watched as Becky woke up.

 

Dai sat in the middle of the courtyard, letting the sun warm her. I'm going to have to make this up with some crappy extra credit.

 

Akito stared her in the eyes and waited until they made eye contact before whistling. His whistle was kind of different. It was long and deep, and it echoed throughout the tiny hallway. Once he had finished, he smirked.

Akito's whistle rang through Becky's head like a train whistle. Right after he had finished, her vision returned to normal and she shook her head, able to focus again. She looked between Akito and Panzela, confused.

 

Panzela looked from Becky to Akito and back, confused on what he'd done. "Um, how do you feel Becky?" she asked.

 

Becky blinked. "Just fine," She said, looking at Panzela.

Akito smiled. "That's good..." He said and let go of her shoulders.

 

Panzela nodded, still looking a bit confused. "Um, do you want to go back to class or would you feel sick again?"

 

Becky stood up and smiled. "No, I'll be fine..." She said softly.

Akito stood up as well, smirking.

 

"Okay..." Panzela stood up also, letting Becky walk past her. "What did you do?" she asked Akito queitly.

 

"Just a bit of magic," Akito said and smiled. "It healed her completely and made it so she won't get sick because of the blood for the next couple hours..."

 

"Hm, that's a unique power... very cool." Panzela smiled at him geninuely and walked back to class, avoiding the insturctor's probing look as she sat back down at her desk.

 

Akito smiled and also went to go sit down in his desk.

Becky sat down in her desk, as well.

 

Panzela kept an eye on Becky while they waited for everyone to get their blood. She was a little surprised at how well Becky seemed now.

 

Once everyone had finished, the bell rang shortly after. "Okay, you should all have your results by tomorrow," The teacher said and dismissed the class.

Becky got up and gathered her stuff, walking out of the room.

Akito got his stuff together and smiled, waiting for Panzela by the door.

 

Panzela threw her bag over her shoulder and walked out of the class with Akito. "That was an interesting class huh?" she commented, giving him a questioning look.

 

This is going to be a wonderful day, I can just tell. Dai thought grumpily on the way to her next class.
