Will of Fire

Kairuto grunted slightly. "Easy, I'm still a bit sore." He gently broke away from her. "But I'm okay. What happened to you?"

Wzard pawed at the door. "Rei-sama!"

 

Panzela soon reached the desert and was checking every plant like thing for a fruit. "Darn, I know this is going to be hard to find..."

 

"Oh... Sorry..." Becky said and released her grip on Kairuto. "Oh! While you were sleeping, Ak-" She suddenly felt a sharp pain in the back of her neck. "Ow!" She put her hand up to her neck. That was weird... She thought and heard a sound at the door. "Hmm? What's that?"

 

"Don't strain yourself." Kairuto told Becky and then went down to answer the door.

Wizard jumped up onto Kairuto's chest, getting caught by Kairuto. "I was waiting."

"Sorry." Kairuto smiled, heading back to Becky.

 

"Oh... uh... Okay..." becky said and watched him walk off and get Wizard. But I feel fine... Other than the bump on my head... Geez... Why'd she have to hit me so hard? She thought.

 

"Wizard, I want you to keep smiling." Kairuto mumbled as he went up the stairs. "I'm not feeling well-" He saw the look on Wizard's face. "Nothing you need to worry about." He assured the familiar. "I just don't want Neesan worrying."

Wizard nodded. "M'kay." He hopped out of Kairuto's arms and bounded to Becky's room.

 

When Kairuto got back, Becky was looking at a picture on her desk and hadn't noticed she'd changed back to her original form.

 

Wizard hopped onto Becky's bed. "Kyuu?" He tilted his head.

Kairuto stood in the doorway. "Hey," He grinned. "Go look in a mirror."

 

Becky smiled. "Hey, Wiz..." She said and then looked up at Kairuto. "Hmm? What is it?" She asked and stood up, walking over to a mirror in her room. She suddenly gasped. "I'm back to normal!" She said, surprised.

 

Kairuto laughed. "About time too."

Wizard ran in circles around Becky's feet.

 

Becky smiled and giggled. "Yeah, really..." She said and looked down at Wiz running around her feet. She smiled and looked back up at Kairuto. "Are you feeling any better?" She asked.

 

Kairuto struck a Superman pose. "Good as new!"

Wizard came to a halt and stared at his reflection in the full length mirror. "It's an alternate dimension..."

 

Becky giggled. "That's great!" She said, glad that he was feeling better. She looked down at Wiz. "Hmm? What's wrong?" She asked, noticing him suddenly stop.

 

Kairuto laughed. "He's never really had a chance to closely examine a mirror." He told Becky what Rei had told him.

Wizard raised a paw, instantly putting it back down when his reflection did the same.

 

"Oh..." Becky said and giggled.

Wizard danced around, watching his reflection do the same as him. "Kyuu!"

Kairuto chuckled. "Wizard, it's just a mirror."

 

Akito watched Panzela from a distance, smirking. Heh. I wonder if she'll ever find out the fruit's buried in the sand... He thought and made sure she couldn't see him. Still, I'm not exactly Panzela's enemy... Why was I chosen to come make sure she doesn't figure out the secret to curing Anthony?

Becky giggled as she watched Wizard.

 

Panzela closed her eyes and felt the air, exasperated from not finding anything, after seaching for so long. "Nothing, nothing if I don't know what it feels like." she said, angrily, to herself. "And there are too many different feels to pick it out of the crowd without knowing what it feels like!"

 

Akito bit his lip, seeing her get frustrated. Maybe I can help her out just a bit... I mean, we're in the middle of the desert... Who'll know? He thought and knelt down. He dug a little bit in the sand before finally finding a starfruit. Smiling, he stood back up and walked out where Panzela could see him. "Looking for this?" He said and held up the starfruit.

 

Panzela turned around quickly, hearing him. "Where did you find that?!" she asked, shocked. I'm sure I searched that area!
