Will of Fire

Anthony's mom looked up. "He's doing alright... But he's still ill," she said and put a hand on his forehead. She was on the ground with her legs spread out in front of her, and he was sitting on her lap, leaning back against her. His eyes were closed and his face was pale. A cold sweat ran down his forehead as he breathed steadily, resting.

Becky arrived back at the house and walked inside.

Akari smirked and jumped out from behind a bookshelf and put an arm around Becky's throat, holding a kunai knife to her neck. "Make a sound and I'll slice your throat..." She said, grinning.

Becky made a small gasp and stood still. "W-What do you want...?" She asked, trembling a little. She closed her eyes as she felt the cold metal of the kunai toughing her skin gently.

Akari grinned. "Tell me where Kairuto and Rei are..." She said.

 

Kairuto rolled over, knocking the book onto the floor. "No... I said super size...." He mumbled in his sleep.

 

OOC- lol I don't even need to guess to know what he's talking about XP or at least I think he's talking about cheeseburgers... O.o

Becky bit her lip. "I would never tell you..." She said and then let out a small yelp as Akari dug the kunai into her neck, making a small cut.

"You weakling... Tell me, or I'll kill you... I don't take mercy on ANYONE..." Akari said.

"I-I'd rather die than let you get anywhere NEAR them!" Becky said.

Kairuto rolled over again, falling off the bed. "Ow! I just wanted a bur-" He looked around. "Aw... It was just a dream...."

"Good thing too. You know how many people would be dead if you were driving?" Rei laughed.

Akari dug the kunai further into her throat, making her give another yell of pain. "Tell me where he is!" She demanded.

Becky shook her head. "I'd never tell you!" She said and kicked her leg back, hitting Akari in the shin. That forced Akari to let go of her due to the pain in her leg, and Becky quickly jumped away from her.

Akari let out a yell. "You little-!" She rubbed her shin and then stood back up. "Fine, then I'll find him by myself!" She took off running up the stairs, but tried her best to be quiet.

Becky ran after her. She shot a blast of aura at her.

 

"Thanks, Rei. That's a real confidence booster." Kairuto muttered. He got up and sat on his bed. "That hurt..."

"You're fault for rolling around." Rei said, still laughing.

Akari opened one of the doors, but it was Becky's room. She quickly ran down the hall and opened another door, but it was the bathroom. She continued like this until she got to the last door: Kairuto's room. Smirking, she went to open the door, but Becky grabbed her wrist.

"Don't... you... dare..." She whispered under her breath, glaring at Akari.

 

"I'm going back to sleep." Kairuto muttered, completely oblivious to what was going on outside his room. He laid down on his side, his back to the door, and drifted back to sleep.

 

Akari growled. "Let go of me you brat!" She said in a whisper and took her crossbow from her back. She used it to hit Becky on the back of the head.

Once Akari hit her, Becky let out a yell to wake Kairuto up so that he'd have a better chance of not getting hurt. "Sorry, Oniisama..." She whispered and fell unconcious.

Akari clenched her fists. Shoot! This plan won't work if he's awake! She jumped up on the ceiling to hide, waiting to see if he woke up.

 

Kairuto sat up. "Neesan?" He rubbed his head. "Was that part of my dream?"

"Don't be stupid. Just go see what it was." Rei said.

Kairuto got off his bed and went out of his room. "Neesan?!" He knelt by Becky. "What did you do?" He put a hand on her forehead. "She's not sick..."

"Someone else is here. I'm still not well enough to know who or where." Rei murmured. "Watch yourself, Kairuto."

 

Akari stayed on the ceiling, being as quiet as possible so that he didn't catch her. Does he know I'm here...? She wondered, not really wanting to find out.

Becky remained unconcious.

 

"Okay." Kairuto nodded as though Rei was right next to him and not inside him. He lifted Becky up and carried her to room. After setting her on her bed and closing her door, he went back to stand outside his room. "The window's not broken or open, Rei... I think she might have just fainted." He stood right beneath Akari.

"I definatly feel someone." Rei was puzzled. "My head's not clear enough to think..."

 

Akari looked down at him. She was losing her grip on the ceiling. What should I do? She thought quickly. Her crossbow was still in her hand. Smirking, she pointed it at a nearby wall and shot, making an arrow stick in the wall. Hopefully, that would distract him, and she could get out of there.

 

Kairuto looked over at the arrow. "What the-" He went over to inspect it. "Where did this come from?"

"Go check your room. It's a possibility that it either came from there or outside." Rei said.

"Right." Kairuto went back into his room.

BIC: Panzela bit her lip, "I think I know how to cure him, maybe. I'll try and be back as soon as I can." she hugged her aunt and squeezed Anthony's hand. "I hope it works."

 

Akari swiftly jumped out the window and headed back towards the Hiwatari family's house. That was a close one... She thought.

Becky remained motionless and unconcious.

Anthony's aunt nodded and hugged Panzela back. "Alright..." She said. "But please just be careful..."

Kairuto sighed. "Must've imagined it." He muttered.

"There was definitely someone here." Rei said.

 

Panzela left the house. "Okay, desert... hm, I think it's that way. Star fruit, okay. I can do that." she headed off in the direction, hoping she could find it soon and that it wasn't a lie either.

 

Wizard hopped back to the Ayume's house, hitting his head on the door to be let in. "Kyuu!"

Kairuto left his room, picked up Becky, and took her to her own room.

 

Anthony's mom took Anthony and laid him gently on his bed, worried.

Becky grunted and slowly opened her eyes. She blinked a couple times as her blurred vision adjusted. "K-Kairuto...?" She said. "K-Kairuto! You're okay!" She hugged him tightly.
