...What? I didn't even watch Transformers.

Maybe that's the problem, people seem to think I'm looking at it as a Transformers property. I'm just looking at it as a film.

Don't want to be taking sides but whats wrong with liking a movie? Amateur or not it's just entertainment.

Trust me I like my fair of things that most people think is terrible (Transformers: Animated for example)

Hm, well as a film series, it could've been better, all films have room to be better

But from what I'VE seen is people are quick to judge this third film because of the second one (which was indeed bad)

I have been hearing that *gasp* it's good? And has a story? Oh man I'm
    Blown away right now.

Even if the previous films might of lived up to expectations, give it a try before you label it horrible.

I hate Micheal Bay as much as the next person by the way

When did I ever say people couldn't like movies

I don't mind people liking movies, what I'm contesting is that they're any good. A thing can be bad and still liked, it's called a guilty pleasure. I am a little upset, yes, that it is so well-liked for being an objectively poor film by the standards of what can be achieved in the medium (or even in the genre). It doesn't have to be the next Fight Club or Matrix, but even for the bar it's trying to reach the series falls short. But I'm not saying people can't like it. And besides that, it is kind of difficult to respect the opinion of someone whose first response to a differing one is "Did you see it? No? Then shut up." And then being accused of narrow-mindedness for talking back. Doesn't put one in the best of spirits.

You' ve got to give him credit though, he' s the first director (that I know of) who has the balls to "direct" a movie copying a pasting his own crap. People don' t watch anything but the giant robots (if they do they' re doing it wrong) so why bother ?

No need to pause, this video features a whole sequence in slow-mo and still, I have no idea what happened in those shots, I just know a car exploded in the process.

As much as I love The Matrix the trilogy does have its fair share of bad directing/writing choices.
Seriously, who understood the second and third movies except geeks and philosophers ? The first time I watched them I was utterly confused. Cool fights though.
The Transformers movies are the perfect opposite to The Matrix : the story is so simplistic that anyone will get it immediately, but the fight scenes are a mess.

I liked the first movie, but I guess I'll be generic by not liking the second one. I have no intention of seeing the third one, mostly because of the whole "beauty without a brain" claims it keeps getting.

    Right.

I, for example, like dressing in blue clothes and going to a condemned pizzaria while it is being demolished by men that I imagine are Care Bears.*

We all have guilty pleasures. Some people like Transformers movies. So, good for them. Whatever.
