    But the 'nothingness' you speak of IS something, if I follow you correctly. Not darkmatter, but no matter at all. That means it is something surrounded by other somethings. Oh God my head, I cannot explain what I mean. Never mind.

    I believe one day the universe will reach it's limit on expanding and the big crunch will happen. I also believe that once it collapses the tiny bits of left over energy and matter will one day expand again and universes grow in a never ending circle. Our universe was born from energy left over from the previous universe and so on and so forth.

    Yeah I know the theory has gaps in it (such as why would matter be left over if it was a complete crunch etc) but I wanted to input ;__;

    I actually did a whole research paper and project on this; the theory is that the energy from the Big Crunch will spark another Big Bang, thus starting the cycle over and over again.

    Because if you think about it, the entire universe coming together (billions and billions of stars and planets), that is a tremendous amount of energy that can be transferred, so based on the law that energy cannot be created or destroyed, the energy from the collapse could simply be transferred to an explosion that essentially "restarts" the universe.
