Why do people hate Cloverfield?

Please explain why. And the reason why I didn't post this in movies/media section is because we already made a Cloverfield thread and it got locked. Well anyway, why do you guys hate it? It was awesome. The handy-cam was awesome, it brought more reality to the movie, and it has A LOT to do with the storyline. And if it's acting, how could they act good when they are running away from something epic and it's not real. Plus, they are being attacked by a thirty story tall monster...they don't really have time to have those kind of scenes you know? And I know it's kinda stupid that Beth didn't die...but whatever, she still had a major part in the story.

 

I thought it was a good movie, Im not a fan of the camera style, but it still gave everything a real feel to it. The only thing that annoyed me, was that it seemed like he didnt record anything the whole time, cuz it would always go back to when he was on the train earlier that day when they would playback.

 

That's because when you turn off a camcorder, it'll skip a few seconds further into the tape. It happens to me all the time D:

Ever since Blaire Witch project I've hated the cam thing. Period.

Cloverfield was a great movie, don't get me wrong. I liked it a lot. The handy cam was pretty good and so was the monster. It's just that LOST is so much better. :3

And I also liked the movie as it gave it a reality feel. Like others have said.

 

it fit it's "C" rating. It wasnt some kind of grand movie that would inspire us all to do something...it was a movie that you would go to when your bored and feel like seeing New York get blasted to bits...

I thought it was okay.

Just okay. I've seen a lot better though.
