    They're practically identical. Just look up what version exclusives you like more, then decide.

    I'm getting SoulSilver because it has Lugia(earlier in the game) and Groudon(Only SS). That's a killer combo ja?

    Really, but for some reason lugia looks cooler than Ho-oh, and yes I have played both original versions AND crystal :3

    I've forgotten, is it almost completely identical to the original? I mean, do you get to travel to Kanto after beating the Elite Four? I know that they've taken out the Red Gyarados, but I didn't know if they took that other feature out, also...

    After a quick check of Serebii it looks like they kept the same game, but added alot of stuff to it. More so than Firered and leaf green

    I'd get Soul Silver personally. I prefer the colour and getting Lugia quicker. Oh-Ho really doesn't look cool plus the only thing its got going for it was that it appeared in episode one of the anime for no reason.

    This is just a matter of preference. I'm leaning toward SoulSilver. LUGIA. nuff said. However, if most of the people you know are getting that one then maybe HeartGold wouldn't be such a bad idea, seeing as you could just play theirs.
