What would you do if you could alter the earth/universe in your image?

Yeah. I was recently thinking on this subject, and decided to make a thread about it.

So basically, all logic and laws of physics aside, what would you do if you could alter the earth/universe into your own personal (possibly messed up) image? 8D

I personally wouldn't really want to alter the earth/universe into my personal image for various reasons, but I'd like to hear what you all think. Because I'm bored.

I would remake EVERYTHING. I couldn't even begin to explain it. Planets, stars, space, everything would change. I'm not sure how...


But on a smaller level, just focusing on the Earth, I would do miscellanious things. The music in the air was a favorable idea. I alter the continents so they'd all connect, with countries in the air and even underwater. Fish could fly and breathe air. Imagine seeing a whale pass you by as you walk down the streets. This is a pretty creative topic, I'm a little scared of letting mind think about it too much lol

I would make everything make some damn SENSE, first of all. The same laws would apply to everything from massive falling boulders to neutrinos zooming about subatomic space. I'd also make sure that any and every intelligent species automatically possesses a Marxist mentality.

 

Instantly make everyone smarter. I'll go from there.

I would do the smart thing and correct the world we live in.

Food would be plentiful and only for pleasure.
Earth would enlarge (As would the sun in relation to it).
Death would be delivered to those who wanted it only.
Everyone would be semi-invulnerable.
Aging would stop around 20-40 years of age.
We would have a cost efficient way of power.
Crime would be unthinkable.
Harmful drugs would no longer be harmful (to humans).
Diseases and viruses vanish.
Pregnancy becomes a matter of will.

I think that covers the majority of faults with the world, and is why I believe that any loving deity cannot exist. I don't care how intricate a bug is, or how exquisite a sunset looks, any god who overlooks those simple points that I can think up in a minute does not deserve worship.

 

Increase the overall intelligence level of human species, and remove Family Guy and anime from existence. =D
No other non-offensive ideas come to mind, really. Oh, and alter the female mind so they are all attracted to nerds by instinct. =D

 

I don't know if I would change anything. A world without faults would be boring and hinder creativity and also give us no incentive to make things better.

celebrities would be good examples
everything could be resolved with a heated argument
everyone would have an inner rock star, and the courage to go out and play good music

people wouldn't care about being politically correct
work wouldn't be hard
all diseases could be cured
nobody would care about a person's religion, race, gender, or sexuality, just if they were good people or not
everyone would have infinite knowledge, a good imagination, and the courage and money to do what they love

Honestly, there isn't anything I would change. I think everything happens for a reason, and this is the way we're all used to the ways things being, I don't think there is something I could change without alter something else that shouldn't have been altered.

That depends. Some girls prefer brains over brawn, some prefer brawn over brains, and some prefer both. But girls can have nerd-fetishes too! Like I have a glasses-fetish.

I would make everyone have equal rights.
There would be no rich people and poor people.
Everyone would have food and medical care.
There would be no wars or fighting.
Respect for other countries would be there.
Alchemy would be real.

 

Number One: The IQ of everyone who has ever existed is cubed, resulting in less ignorance and the invention of technology a lot sooner.
Number Two: The Earth automatically expands should overpopulation become a problem.
Number 3: The Sun and all other stars burn forever.
Number 4: Since I am the one molding this universe, I am technically God, so I would quite clearly inform everyone that they shouldn't worship me but just be nice and understanding toward other people.
Number Five: Food can be grown instantly and wells instantly refill with clean water.
Number Six: Should the worlds resources run out, they are instantly replenished.
Number Seven: Waste and rubbish vanishes mysteriously...

 

In the fear of screwing up the world in to a worse state than this, and that I'd eventually start using the powers wrongfully for my own advantage, I'd give them up immediately (after getting some chocolate for free). Seriously, why would someone make an adolescent girl omnipotent?​

 

I'd start off by making everyone acceptable to society.

 

I would make it so amounous nutcases with no brains would'nt spread rumors about the stinkin world ending.

 

Well, can't say I'd change too much but some things I would based on some current issues today. It'd eliminate most arguing over some sensitive topics. In the end, if I was feeling kinda omnipotent, I suppose it wouldn't be beyond the realm of possibility that I'd do the following:

1. I'd make it so that pregnancy would only happen if both the male and female wanted a kid. Basically self-willed, so that no more 'unwanted' babies would happen and abortion would also be over for the most part. Making both people responsible means no one has the ability to screw the other person over either. Well, not as easily anyway. People can always find ways.

2. Make people slow aging dramatically around 25-40 some years of age so they can enjoy life more in their primes. They can also work for longer periods so that the system could be redesigned and children, elderly and injured could be treated better while also ensuring that those in their prime could have vacations and such since the majority of population then would be in this group. I'd also make it so that no more 'birth related' defects would happen and all people could have their chance to grow up healthy.

3. Make some more worlds that are capable of life support and other creatures etc because that'd be fun and people could colonize new places and have some adventure if they want. It'd also address over population and encourage creativity.

4. Make it so healthy foods taste better than junk food and that addiction to things such as food, drugs etc, becomes a thing of the past. Make 'healthy' cigarettes that won't stimulate cancer or annoy others. Make bubblegum chewers capable of learning to chew with their mouths closed. >.> Pet peeve totally. xD Make roofies and mickeys etc incapable of being used to affect people at all. Make it so people can declare when a 'buzz' is over on their own will so that they can sober up to drive, do tasks, go to work, etc not stoned or drunk.

5. Give some scientific way of improving energy without such a cost to the environment or to people's wallets. Drive oil companies into the ground, where the oil should stay. xD Grant those with creative ideas that could work for waste management, energies, etc a voice and that corporations can't just buy out the ideas and bury them. Make 'oops' accidents to those corporations that do this happen so that some of the ideas already out there could have a chance to be heard. Hate to manipulate people's hands in this stuff but at the same time, if people invent stuff that can help others, it seems wrong that we never see it.

Basically, in the end, I wouldn't want to change much more than that, other than perhaps making some animals more resistant to things humans do so they don't die out, and stopping some horrible tragedies from happening like hurricanes, tsunamis and such. I believe taking out the 'challenge' to life entirely would be wrong and also handing people everything would also be wrong as well, to advance and evolve, we need some challenges and hardships. Also, to develop commonsense seems important so only through adversity do most people even see a reason for it. I think leaving cures for diseases and such in the hands of others and having a life/death cycle keeps us moving and well, maybe in its way, makes me at least appreciate life more while I have it. Of course though, if people went and did try horrible things like launching nukes or bio-chem weapons on others, I'd probably step in too because that just sucks. I'd not want to involve myself too much in some things as I wouldn't want to be a crazy power monger deity or something, but I'd want to allow things to be a bit easier in life and yet keep it from getting dull, and as life would advance, I'd not want to be the -reason- for it but more of a help, while regular people would do the advancing more so than I would. Last thing on that note, I'd definitely not want to be worshiped etc. I'd probably make each thing above happen through some 'mortal' way of invention so that it wouldn't seem like an outer force did it all. That way there wouldn't be silly fights over religion. w00t.
