I usually listen to a few songs that I have on my ipod that I listen to when I feel upset or depressed about something.

Never too late - three days grace

    Breakdown - Seether

This One(Crying like a child) - Hikaru Utada

    I'm so sick - Flyleaf

    What do you listen too?

I don't know, since I never get depressed.

It would probably be something sad, though, or maybe even something upbeat. We'll never know, though.

Nightwish, Evanescence, and the movie soundtracks from Balto, TLK and Avatar. But that's also what I listen to when I draw or write, which I do when I get upset to take my mind off of it.

I don't listen to depressing music when I'm down, which is most of the time. I just listen to bands I like to keep me occupied. Megadeth, Justice, etc.

Sometimes, when I'm feeling stoical or lonely, but not necessarily deppressed, I like listening to Sparks - Royksopp.

Usually I'll try to hear happy songs from the 80s and what not. But I'll get those times when I'll feel the ned to listen to songs that match my mood.

But I do listen to State of Mind by A Covenant of Thorns a lot. Along with Depeche Mode and AFI. Eventually they cheer me up somehow.

When I'm upset I just listen to anything really. Music alone helps me get through the pain. However, I do find acoustics and actually, other sad songs very comforting. When I'm sad, it helps to let me be sad about whatever it is for a moment, then pick myself up again and move on. Also, rather slow songs like Disney's I'll Try and as mentioned, the Beatles' Let It Be.

However, I also tend to listen to rock & roll when I'm feeling down because it's probably my favourite so it gets me in a better mood.

I listen to upbeat Hatsune Miku songs (Like PoPiPo and World is Mine)
Really cheers me up. Even when I don't feel like listening to music.

I usually listen to relaxing classical music. I still do that even when I'm not depressed, but for me it just helps ease the mind at any time. Specifically Mozart, haha.

I'm kinda depressed or upset or sad ALOT but, when I want to listen to a song that gets exactly what I'm feeling, I listen to Anna Blue- So Alone, Black Veil Brides - Savior, and Evanescence - Hello At least thats all I can think of at the top of my head.

Some songs I think should only be listened to in the appropriate mood. This is one.

I would have to say Time Machine - Shoujo Jidai
or White Horse - Taylor Swift

I don't know but when I'm sad it kinda reflects my mood not lyrics wise but music/instrumental wise

Hmmm..... Scars by Allison Iraheta and You're Not Sorry by Taylor Swift. They're sooo depressing. Well, more so You're Not Sorry than Scars, but whatever.

When I'm depressed, rather than listen to something depressing and risk catharsis becoming enabler, I usually prefer to get lost in soundscapes. Tracks like Venetian Snares's Szamár Madár or Zechs Marquise's Pattern. Lots of long-winded, dreamy instrumentals that make me forget I'm human for a while. Sometimes I focus on my stories, and the soundtracks I assign to them, in which case I can listen to anything.

Since I'm depressed, or at least sad, often I usually zone out to some Mastodon. Either Blood Mountain or Leviathan. Enough power to get me out of my funk, yet technical and smooth enough to soothe me.

That or I just jam B*stard by Tyler, The Creator. I can relate a lot to this album so it makes me feel better that I'm not all alone.

When I'm sad or angry or just not in the mood to be talking to anyone, I usually pin RainyMood in a tab and play a list of songs on iTunes that I dubbed 'The Rainy Day List', and it makes me feel better and relaxed every time.
