A lot of rap songs do have similar phrases, but most of the rap songs I listen to actually have meaning. >3> Moreso, they're not all bad. Usually people hate the lyrics. Why not listen to the fricken music just for the god dang beat?! EVERYONE IS ABOUT LYRICS! If you go to a club, do they care for the lyrics? HECK no! Why can't people act that way in general? >.>

When someone asked me "Do you know 50 cent?" I said "No I don't have 50 cents!"

That is a stupid name for anything. If you really think about it who would really wanna be called 50 cent. If anything shouldn't it be like 90cents or something higher? Then again I think rap is a waste of my time and it has way too many bad words for my parents to let me listen to it anyway. No offense to rap lovers it's just my opinon.

Well, I can't really get mad at ya if ya say "no offense." =3

But, seriously, rap is more diverse than you think. Dig deeper beneath the surface of all this crap they play non-stop on the radios, and you'll se what I mean.

How you gonna judge like that. I listen to rap and rock, they both talk about tacky ****, half the time in rock it is, oh my girlfriend hate me and you broke my heart, or I hate everything cause I am different. Rap isn't all just money and gold quit generalizing about it, listen to immortal technique, I find more truth in that than in any rock.

Here educate yourself...foxxie I am here for you

....I'll only put up with this because of the whole FREE SPEECH thing I believe in...

    >.>

And like 2Foxxie4U said, look deeper than the songs that they play on the radio. I mean, not ALL rap songs are like "Booty booty whore *****!!!".

Seriously, most rap that people hear is what is played popularly. That isn't just what it is about, there are rappers that are active in society and actually talk about real life things that don't involve getting laid. Don't bash something that you are not entirely sure about.

I dunno. You guys dont give some rappers enough credit. Like Eminem. He dosent degrade women or talk about his money.

The volume. There's too damn much of it, as such their is too much crap. As with all music there's about 60%-70% that's crap and dreck. Other than that it's alright 'cause...

Weird Al can make parodies of it. Livin' in an Amish paradise.

i dont know....i just dont like it...lol i mean if you put it ill take it, but after like 15 or 20 minutes of listening to it i wont be so happy :p

i agree. im...okay with the rap they play on the radio over and over again, but i like older rap, like Tupac, or Eminem *even though hes not old* and alot more than just the leaning and rocking with it - but i still like it also! lol cause the beat can be pretty good, and honestly, every music genre has something interesting in it, you just gotta dig deeper, like 2Foxxie4U said

1: no any 1 cannot just down load sounds and make a beat, its harder than u think, try going to the ghetto area of ur city and chalenging sum1 to a rap battle

2:there is meaning, if u actualy pay attention to what they are saying and use a lil common sense(because the slang they uses is actualy very simple) ull get it

3: you only get bored cuz u dont get it

here is an example of slang: butter face- every thing looks good but her face

Music is like candy; you have to throw out the rappers.

....no offense rap lovers >.> I know there's some rap stars that don't talk about all that stupid crap, but you have to admit, there aren't a whole lot of rappers that...well, rap about important subjects.
