What phone should I get.

A phone from boost mobile, cricket or metro pcs. I don't like phone contracts

 

You should get a phone that works consistently, is hard to break, and has a long battery life. I suggest a Samsung SCH-U340. I don't think they make them anymore, but a used one will be super cheap and have a battery that'll outlast any smartphone by weeks.

Okay, then. If you want a phone with a battery that'll die after only three hours and can get the screen destroyed just by getting stepped on instead of a phone with a three week battery life that can get run over by a car and still work, go ahead.

Screen protectors only protect against scratches and dust, not total obliteration.
If you buy the extended warranty, you're getting scammed.
Again, the case will only protect against minor aesthetic damage that'll only affect how the phone looks. I assure you that it won't keep it from breaking if you step on it by accident.
