Keep it on topic guys, not every thread needs to be a debate. It's cool to have opinions and there's no need to shove yours down someone's throat every time the chance arises.

Anyway, my native language is English, but I've had about 10 years of French and know enough Chinese to communicate with my grandmother on a basic level (since she's forgetting English).
And though it's fictional I do speak Mando'a, the language of the Mandalorian people of Star Wars. Don't know if it'd be counted as a language but we have a method of communicating in our theater that involves whistles and things like that, which is very effective when you're trying to communicate between ground level and 40 feet up in the catwalks.

I could have sworn this thread was already made.

Languages I speak fluently include English and Spanish. French is moderate.
Japanese, German and Mandarin I am slowly learning. I know minor bits of other languages but not enough to keep a steady conversation,

    Foreign Language?

Does anyone here speak any kind of foreign language? I, for instance, have taken 3 years of German and a year of Japanese.

I used to know Japanese thanks to my Grandmother who was a nurse in England. Traveling a lot and having to know the languages at those countries. Its unfortunate that I seemed to have forgotten it not sure how that happened though XD I know French the Queens English I guess that's what its called. And lost that accent for that too... Stupid stupid.... English, but wanna know Spanish so badly.

I am only able to speak English fluently. However, I am currently practicing my French, and thus have a good basis of this. I also hold a good basis of Hindi-Urdu, Bhojpuri, a bit of Punjabi and Gujarati, and a few other Indo-Aryan languages because of my background - however, I cannot call myself fluent in either of these languages. Besides the aforementioned, I know bits and pieces of an extremely large amount of languages, and understand specifically the working grammar of at least fifteen to twenty. Russian is easier than you think!

I took a Spanish I class in eighth grade.
I passed with a solid B, so I guess I could include that.

In ninth grade this year, I might take a French course.
    I wouldnt mind speaking in.

And of course, my solid original language,
    English.

    So thats three.
    English.
    Spanish,
    Hopefully French this year. :)

    Wow old thread.

English and Italian (it's my heritage and it just sounded awesome in ACII... what?). Currently learning Japanese so I can watch subbed anime without the probrems of subtitles. Thanks Rosetta Stone!

    English, obviously.

I speak bits and pieces of Japanese and French. My French is better than my Japanese, although I could probably hold up a fairly decent conversation in both. Granted, they wouldn't be very engaging conversations, but...

I also speak a liiiittle bit of Norwegian and Irish Gaelic. Not much though.

...I wonder if I replied to this thread years ago and then forgot about it.
