What is the one song you can -almost- always turn to to lift your spirits?
For me, it has to be You're Not Alone from Final Fantasy IX, in its many incarnations

Especially the second half. When you get to that more upbeat section... dem feels

    Sweet Drops by Puffy

This is basically the song I wake up to every morning. It's a very upbeat song and really is something that gets me out if bed (partially because it is so loud). I also love this because its the opening to one of my favorite shows of all time, Bunny Drop (or Usagi Drop).

One Day More from Les Miserables

Lately, it seems like I can't go a day without listening to Les Miserables. I just love the music so much. One Day More, to me, is the essence of the musical. It is very uplifting, even if many of the characters know that the future will not be well for them.

Kinda cliche here, but a lot of the Japanese Dragon Ball Z theme titles and stuff, including some of the games. It's my guilty pleasure too, in a way xD Man, can that Hironobu Kageyama sing...

And yes, I would even say Kai's theme song is in this category. :F

Ooh, that is a toughie. I tend to associate songs with periods in my life--so something I listened to a lot during a pleasant time in my life tends to have pleasant associations.

The two that come to mind:

    and

Associated mostly with one person who never fails to make me smile.

Bizness by Tune Yards. A friend made me listen to it last year and it never fails to cheer me up (and make me dance, lol).

I don't have one, I just have a bunch of music that I listen to when I'm in a good or relaxed mood, and a bunch of music that I listen to for each other mood. Here are the first few that come to mind though.

The entirety of the Jet Set Radio Future soundtrack. My emotions are turbulent, so music that is uplifting in the traditional sense usually doesn't work well on me, or else it only works for a short time. When I really want to feel good, I prefer to just tune out my emotions and keep on, a-rockin', toooo the funky beat y'all. And no beat outfunks the JSRF soundtrack.

well I don't know any of these songs besides the one from utada. but here are my songs

Atmosphere - Yesturday. It will put me into a good mood no matter what im feeling. Its a song for missed fathers.

alexisonfire - side walk when she walks. Its very sentimental to me.

Not many of the kh songs make me happy... they have the opposite effect. I become sad and depressed....

Wow this is hard. I have plenty to choose from, but if I had to pick out my favorites, it would be these:

The Two Friends - Your Song (SirensCeol Remix)

Kaiori Breathe - She Colours The Sky (Klrx Remix)

    MitiS & MaHi - Blu

Friendship by Ritsuko Okazaki - Sukitte ii na yo Opening

    And plenty more c:

It's really about the situation I'm in that makes a song lift my spirits. But this one could do the trick anytime because it's awesomeness ^^

It depends on several factors for me. First of all, if it's a soundtrack, I like remembering where the song came from or who/what it represented. One of my favorite songs is from Red vs. Blue season 10 that is "Forever" it is one song that makes me remember one of the strongest moments of the season for me and matches perfectly with what is going on.

It also depends on my mood. I listen to Linkin Park a lot when I'm upset/angry about something. It helps me organize my feelings and soothe the hurts that I have. I also listen to: "Send Me and Angel" when I'm scared/upset a lot. It mostly depends on my mood and what's going on.

I cant say I have just one feel good song. Usually its Jpop music though. The upbeat and fact that I have no clue what they are saying usually warms my spirits up.

For some reason, this song always cheers me up.

That and Passion/Sanctuary, I would have posted the video but I'm afraid that the video might be deleted...

    Also this song...

One of my favorite songs from my childhood.
