What is it?

Please don't call me a noob ok. I'm just not into that kind of stuff, but what exactly is Death Note?

 

It's an anime about a kid in college that obtains a notebook that kills when you write a persons name in it. and the cop were like "Oh shit!" and its like a big goose chase.​

So yeah, in this manga/anime death gods are real - but it is a rather boring world they live in. So one of them, Ryuk, decides to "drop" his deathnote in the human world and see what happens. Raito Yagami, or more known as Light Yagami, is the student who picks it up and is therefore the only one who can see Ryuk. At first he is sceptical and thinking it was some lame joke, but when he's at home watching the news about a criminal holding a childrens school hostage he randomly wrote the name down after seeing a photo, and lol behold that criminal dies live on TV. To make the world a better place, he ends up watching the news for criminals to kill, and eventually the deaths are so massive that a very skilled detective comes into play - that detective is L. It's honestly like watching a game of chess, both sides always make a move that demands brains, and it goes on for a while. The hard part might be to figure out which side you support, lol.

The note holds some rules tho. You must know the real name of a person and what he or she looks like, and once written that person will die. (so it can't be undone) Usually this happens by a heart attack, but details may be added for the time of death.

Actually, something happens all the time. So keeping track on it demands your full attention, lol.
