and then I was made staff.

I remember the mysterious VM from RvR being like "Could you get on MSN." In a menacing tone... and then he told me I would mod the premium section ;-; TROLL'D!

 

I think that we can conclude from this thread that, even with my suspense habits, I am far nicer than Mark when promoting people c:

 

The thing is that, when I think about it, it's never really been about the power.

I suppose you could say that it's about the sense of belonging. It's not like I don't feel at home with everyone, but I've always wanted to really feel like I have a purpose for being here (not just on KHV), and a responsibility. I suppose the reason I'm always so adamant about it is because I want to make a difference doing something that I love~

Getting staff will not automatically make you belong, there is no on/off switch. Belonging is a perspective. If you wish to belong, then choose to feel as if you do, and behave as if you do without fear. The rest are more likely to believe it if you do.

It is important to remember that like any relationship, your integration with others is not going to happen if you are apprehensive or hold things back. If you do not act naturally or feel like you are going out on a limb, others will pick up on that and feel awkward even when there is no need to be. You will not belong while behaving as if you do not, no matter your position.
