Warriors: Starfall

Yowls erupted from all the cats. A RiverClan queen wailed, "What has happened for StarClan to punish us like this?" Her eyes flashed in distress, like most of the other cats in the clearing.

Hawkpaw looked around, his fur bristling. What was the meaning of StarClan's sign? He shivered and tried to calm himself, though it wouldn't do much good in the already fragile atmosphere.

Silverpaw's eyes were fixed on Yewtail. What was that look in his eye? Worry? Guilt? Or maybe just...satisfacation? She lashed her tail and focused deeply, not caring if anyone saw her. The Clans were in too much of an uproar to notice.

Frustrating began to crash over her like a wave, the exhaustion that her power brought becoming more evident with every hit. But she kept her mind concentrated on breaking the barrier of Yewtail's. A sudden nudge brought her back, and she cursed in her mind and turned to look at the source.

Hawkpaw's eyes were deep. "Are you...okay?" He licked the apprentice on her shoulder to comfort her, but Hawkpaw didn't know what she was really trying to do.

Silverpaw flicked her tail and meowed, "I'm fine." She was so close to seeing a glimpse of Yewtail's mind, but Hawkpaw ruined it. She was too tired to try again.

 

Goldenpaw says a silver she-cat staring intensely at Yewtail. He wondered what she was doing, as she closed her eyes and lashed her tail. He began to walk over to her.

"Be quiet!" commanded Leafpool. It wasn't anger in her eyes, but impatience. All cats were silent. "StarClan doesn't control everything! Was it their doing when the sun was blocked out? No! They hadn't even known about it! The drying up must have just been because of this drought! When leaf-fall comes, the Moonpool will be back again, just like it had been their less than a moon ago!" The other medicine cats nodded in agreement.

 

Leapordstar nodded in agreement. I am sure Mothwing can agree with this statement. The leader's eyes met the RiverClan medicine cat, and Mothwing nodded.

Hawkpaw's nose twitched. There was something about that medicine cat that didn't seem right to him. Putting that aside, he turned to see an approaching cat from another clan. Breathing deeply, he recognized SHADOWCLAN <--- EDIT scent on his fur.

 

When Goldenpaw got close enough to the she-cat, he could smell WindClan on her fur. Next to her was a tabby tom. "Er, hi," Goldenpaw said nervously.

 

Silverpaw's nose twitched, but her eyes showed that she was calm in the current situation. "Hello there," she mewed in a serene voice.

 

Goldenpaw felt relief swelling over him when the she-cat gave him a nice greeting. "I'm Goldenpaw," he told them. "And you are?"
