Crowfeather smiled at the glowing Silverpaw and purred in amusement at her. "Excited for the gathering, I see?" The cat nodded, and Crowfeather mewed, "Well, you have to train hard. Let's make today the best you've done, okay?"

Silverpaw nodded at her mentor's words. She was shaking with excitement that normally she could so easily hide. She got up and the two padded out of the camp and into the open moorlands.

Appearance (Text is prefered): Pitch black fur with a white stomach. Has soft jade-green eyes, and her tail's tip has a white tip.

Special Skills (If any): Increased speed; can run faster and quieter than normal cats.

BIC: "It was good," Goldenpaw replied. "Not gonna be like that for long, with leaf-fall coming up." The golden tom took a moment to like his paw. "Do you wanna come to the Gathering tonight?"

 

Frostpaw narrowed his eyes.
"No." He said curtly. "I have things to do. Hopefully Oakfur won't drag me there tonight."

Hawkpaw bounded after Crowfeather and Silverpaw, squealing, "WAAAIT!" Webfoot kept a steady pace behind the tabby apprentice and said, "We should go hunting together, today. Or at least, the apprentices should and we shall evaluate them."

Crowfeather snorted, "Who died and made you boss?" Webfoot's mouth turned in a crooked smile and mewed, "Whoever said we had to be ordered to do this? Come on, if they do well they can go, if Yewtail approves. You know they want to, and what will it hurt? They'll get the job done."

Crowfeather nodded to the apprentices, and they ran off.

 

"Hm, well okay then," Goldenpaw replied.

 

"Anyhow", Frostfang continued. "If you see Oakheart, you may tell him that I have gone out hunting myself. Let him come after me if he wishes, I honestly do not care." And with that, he quietly padded away.

 

He's such a downer... Goldenpaw thought. I don't understand why an apprentice wouldn't want to go a Gathering.

Wait, was she going to the gathering?
Oh no. That place with the cats. Millions of cats.
Okay, maybe Spiritpaw was over-reacting, but she disliked going to a gathering. All the cats made her feel unsafe or insecure. But if she had too, then there was no going against it. Besides, she guessed that she kind of wanted to hear what was going on in the other clans.

Mistyfoot blinked at her apprentice. She told her apprentice that she was going to the gathering and was rewarded with a blank stare. Well, at least she gave her message, now Mistyfoot wanted to hunt.

OOC: Well, this is dead... Good thing I medicine catted it. Also Xaale, I had to change Webfoot to Owlwhisker, 'cause Webfoot is an elder in PoT.^_^;
BIC: Goldenpaw walked towards the apprentices' den. I better rest up if I want to be awake at the Gathering, he thought. The golden tom tabby lied down on his moss-lined nest and began to dream...

The full moon shone brightly in the dark sky. Frostpaw silently sat near the base of a large pine tree, quietly watching the lapping of the miniature waves of the lake. A number of ShadowClan cats had already departed to the Gathering, and Oakfur had thankfully gave up on finding him.

He glared at his reflection in the lake. The moonlight cast a gentle, silver glow around the entire hill. His blue-gray eyes shone intensely with inquisitiveness as he saw the stars through the water.
If StarClan is false, then I do wonder where they go when they die?

 

Goldenpaw watched his Clanmates cross the tree-bridge onto the island where the Gathering was held. Even from the shore he could scent ThunderClan. The smell was a mixture between stone and undergrowth. I wonder if they're really as weak as they say, he thought.

He felt his mentor give him a small push. "It's your turn to cross," Tawnypelt said. Goldenpaw nodded and began to tread the wood. It was slippery, so he walked slow enough to keep his balance and not fall into the dark waters below. He jumped down to the island and stared in awe. There's so many cats! the golden tom thought.

 

Frostpaw gazed down at the silvery water, drowsiness evident in his eyes. He had been up most of the night, pondering the facts and stories his fellow cats had told him about StarClan. The rest of his clan would be back soon.
Bah.

Almost immediately, a slight rustling was heard from the bushes behind him. Frostpaw quickly glanced behind him. The rustling stopped.
Odd. I should get back to camp before a fox tries to get me.
After a short moment of looking at his reflection in the lake water, he sprung onto his feet and padded away, yawning to himself.

 

I wish Frostpaw was here, Goldenpaw thought, staring at the full moon. At least I would have someone I know with me. His head turned to the tree in the center of the island. Blackstar was standing on one of the lower branches. Nearby were the other three Clan leaders. The dappled Leopardstar, leader of RiverClan. Her scent smelled like fish. But then again, so did the rest of her Clan. Next to her was Firestar, leader of ThunderClan. Goldenpaw had heard that he had been a kittypet before joining ThunderClan, but looking at him now, it didn't seem possible. Last was... Huh? Goldenpaw blinked to make sure he wasn't dreaming. But that cat there was the same as it was before. That wasn't the brown pelt of Onestar, but a different one, one of golden brown. And underneath him wasn't Ashfoot, the deputy, but Tornear. What happened to WindClan?

 

Yewtail stood on a hill overlooking the land leading to the log bridge that led to the island where the Gatherings were held.

Standing still, he watched the other clans walk over through narrowed eyes. No signal to start to the bridge was given.

Hawkpaw spoke up, mewing, "What are we waiting for?"

Yewtail spun around and hissed, "Mind your business, apprentice. I'm being cautious, that's all." His head turned once again, and he flicked his tail.

Cautious? Yeah right. Hawkpaw trotted after the racing cats and towards the Gathering.

Blackstar flicked his tail to quiet the murmuring cats, clearly speaking of the change in WindClan's authority. Turning to them, he slowly raised his sleek head, his white fur shimmering in the silver moonlight.
"At last, we may begin this Gathering," he meowed loudly. "I am happy to report that there has not been any current trouble in ShadowClan since the recent incident." A few ThunderClan cats exchanged despising glances with ShadowClan.

"That is all," ended Blackstar, rather simply. He waved his tail, acknowledging the rest of the leaders to speak their current events, and silently sat down on his large branch. However, almost every ThunderClan, RiverClan, and even ShadowClan cat payed no attention to him. They were much more interested in the unknown WindClan cat in place of where Onestar should have been.

 

"Thank you, Blackstar," said Firestar. "Everything is also well in ThunderClan, and there have been no mishaps since the last Gathering." He nodded to Leopardstar.

 

Leapordstar's eyes shone as she spoke, "RiverClan has been doing well. Prey is plentiful, and our kits are healthy." She nodded to the WindClan cat perched near her, who was held the attention of all the cats.

Yewtail lifted his head a tiny bit and then meowed, "WindClan is doing well now that I am leader. In an unfortunate incident, our great leader Onestar was killed." Murmurs of surprise from other clans started to run through the clearing. Yewtail's voice rose above the noise as he stated, "Onestar will be remembered in honor, and I take pride in taking his place as the leader of WindClan!"

 

Murmurs erupted in the crowd of cats on the Island. But Onestar was the newest leader! thought Goldenpaw. If the oldest, Leopardstar, is still alive, how could Onestar have been on his last life? It doesn't make sense!

"Quiet down, please!" yelled a voice near the tree. It came from a light brown tabby she-cat with amber eyes. Next to her was a grey tabby tom with blue eyes, a dappled golden tabby she-cat with amber eyes, a grey tabby she-cat, a brown tom, a white splotched grey-brown tom, Littlecloud, ShadowClan's medicine cat, and his apprentice, Flamepaw, a ginger tom. Goldenpaw guessed the others were the other medicine cats. "There's something very important that you must know!" yelled the she-cat again.

"Please tell us what it is, Leafpool," replied Firestar.

Leafpool nodded. "Last half-moon, we journeyed to the Moonpool to find that it had dried out! Our only contact with StarClan has been severed!"
