I wondered, how many people here volunteer their time out for something that's a part of their community? And if so what, and how often?

And if people don't volunteer in their spare time, why aren't you? Time, effort or you don't care for your community?

    Now answer and discuss please.

Back when I was in high school and my early college years I did a lot of volunteering. I did hunger walks, soup kitchens, Public Lands Day, and a night out where you were supposed to sleep outside in a box shelter to raise awareness for those less fortunate.

These days I don't mostly because my teaching job sucks up so much of my time, so instead I'll donate to food banks or my old clothes to Big Brother/Big Sister, I know it doesn't count as volunteering but it's still helping out.
