BIC: Hannah took a step away from the group. "Edward...." Anger and shock were mixing inside her.

 

Van Helsing turned swiftly from Jinx to Hannah, who still stood angrily amazed at Edward. "You?" he began. "I knew there was something different about you, something not right, but... I didn't think..."

He shook his head. I don't want to kill the girl, he said, but then remembered the funeral procession for Henry going through the town center of the little village... all the broken hearts and horrified, crushed family members and friends that missed their young loved one...

Van Helsing drew his bow from his shoulder swiftly, pointing it at Hannah with no emotion in his face.

 

Occ: *GASP!*

 

Hannah's gaze went from Edward to Van Helsing, tears starting to brim her eyes. "You may as well do it."

In a galaxy far far away....

"The stranger was skilled." Verona moved the closet to Dracula. "Even with three of us, he was able to hold off two."

Aleera said, "I do not think he knew Rose is one of us."

Marishka mearly nodded.

 

BIC: Edward suddenly seemed to come to his senses. "No," he stepped in front of Hannah. "Don't."

 

"Damn you, too, then, Edward!" Van Helsing cried, leveling the weapon at the werewolf now instead. "I can pull out a gun after I shoot her through you!" He sighed, the fustration clear in his voice. "You're all supposed to be helping me!" he continued now. "We're all supposed to be helping each other... and here you are killing innocents, giving a prefectly good reason to shoot you down now!"

OOC: meanwhile barbra sat on her horse and watched and ate a twinkie!

"I want to help you!" Hannah cried. "I want to find the one that bit me and do whatever I can to make him feel the pain that I have!" Her body shook with sobs. "I don't want to be what I am..."

Edward realized he felt the same as Hannah. He nodded, looking at Van Helsing. "She's right, you know," he spoke. "Neither of us had a choice to become what we are... you cannot blame a good soul for being unwillingly corrupted."

Van Helsing lowered his bow slightly. "I already know that, Edward," he said softly. "But you will kill innocent people whether you mean to or not. That's why she should die... but you have information on Dracula..." he faded. She could be useful before I kill her, he thought.

 

Hannah turned around. "Van Helsing... don't you have any precious people...? What if they were to become what you hunt?"

BIC: Van Helsing shook his head. "No," he replied. "I have no one else... I am on my own now and I always will be that way. And even if I did and they were turned I would do as I must."

 

OOC: *facepalm* you make me feel smart....

BIC: Hannah was a bit surprised to hear that. "I see.... Then, when this is over..." She trailed off.

 

"You don't have to be alone," Edward said quietly after a moment. "We are here, and, for some unknown, ridiculous reason, we want to stay with you and help you... if you let us live till then."

 

OOC: wtf? lol i dont get it...

"Go on," Van Hesling said, finally completely lowering his weapon. "If you all insist on helping me (and therefore helping yourselves) so be it. I..." he faded on himself now, looking at Hannah, and then Edward, who clearly wouldn't not move from in front of her despite his slip of her secret. "I can let you live... for now."

BIC: Hannah moved away from Edward. "I guess I'm in debt to you." She said to Van Helsing.

BIC: Hannah lowered her eyes. "What would you have done if I told you earlier?"

 

"I think we should get moving," Edward said. "If everyone can agree to let each other live for now. Hannah, I'm sorry--" he began, but her sharp, hurt gaze cut his weak sentence from his mouth like a knife.

 

"Before I knew you for a little while?" Van Hesling replied, ignoring Edward. "I would have killed you without a second thought."

Hannah wished she hadn't asked. Barely glancing at Edward, she told him, "Just don't talk to me for a while."
