Van Helsing

Lestat shrugged. You'll need my help when the time comes, that's all I have to say. It's just a matter of whether you or Edward ask for it first.

 

"I have trusted you." Hannah said. "I still do. It's him I don't trust."

No one has ever killed a lycan either. John informed Lestat. They're the only ones that have been able to kill their own kind. I've never seen it for myself, one of their fights, but I have seen the pure strength they have. Nothing can pierce their skin nor harm their mind. They're immune to anything but their own kind.

 

"I know," Edward said softly. "I understand, really. I just need you to trust me trusting him... we need him on our side in order to live through this."

 

Lestat shrugged again, nonchallantly. Whatever you say, my friend, he murmured. I do bet that Edward will ask before you, though...

 

Of course Edward will ask first. He knows he can't handle it. John agreed. But don't you understand? If you interfere and get her angry in any way, she will kill you. Just keep your distance. He repressed a shudder

"That'll take a while." Hannah mumbled. "I don't just give someone my trust."

 

Edward nodded. "I know," he said kindly. "That's fine; I just wish I could tell you more about what Lestat said..."

 

I might, Lestat chuckled. It depends on the... spur of the moment, I guess. Isn't that how they say it nowadays? I have been known to act on impulse, so... there's no knowing what I may do...

 

Jinx opened her mouth to say something and then shut it, not knowing how to respond at first. "You... wait, what? No, that's too easy." she looked at him suspiciously. "He knows perfectly well I would never go back with him willingly. I mean I know he wants to kill me for god's sake, there has to be something else... are you sure you're telling me everything?"

 

Van Helsing shrugged. "I think that's it," he replied. "He just pisses me off; I'm sorry for getting upset. But next time he shows up, you can tell him how you really feel, without him trashing with your mind. Isn't that a good thing?"

OOC: hey i know you!

BIC: "Yes... I think it is..." Jinx agreed, uncertainly. "But that's just too easy." she repeated. "He's not stupid, even if he looks it... damn it." she looked down at her feet thinking.

 

"Hey, if he tries anything stupid, I'll kill him," Van Helsing laughed. He saw the look she gave him and stopped smiling. "I know it seems easy, it's just... we need him gone in order to focus on Dracula, along with all the other trouble that seems to follow us all."

 

"Yeah..." Jinx answered vaguely. "Stupid man, if he wants to kill me, can't he just do it like normal people?" she muttered, angrily.

 

"I don't think he wants to kill you yet; that's the point," Van Helsing thought. "I mean, he enjoys messing with you, torturing you... another reason why I'd love to just kill him."

 

"Probably, it's just so... hard to be so easily controlled by him." Jinx clenched her hands. "Whatever. We'll see what he's planning soon enough..." she glanced at his hand. "You know what really ticks me off though?"

 

"How charming I can be when I like?" Van Helsing chuckled under his breath.

 

"That he bothered you in the first place and somehow that made you hurt your hand. Now you'll take forever to heal and your blood is going to drive us crazy until you do heal." Jinx frowned at his hand. "I dont' know why, but that just bugs me the most about all this."

 

"If you mean he made me mad with his powers, dear, you're wrong. I've experience with vampires like him; they're tricks don't bother me. I just got upset all on my own, and... well, better a tree than someone that didn't deserve it. I know he came because he was so jealous about... what I did." He laughed under his breath again.

 

"Jealous?" Jinx cracked a smile slightly. "It's not like he hasn't done exactly the same thing enough times before." her smile faded and was replaced by a disgusted expression. she was quiet for awhile, "Poor tree... why didn't you punch him instead?"

 

Van Helsing smiled. "Too fast for me," he explained. "And you're not funny mentioning that, you know."

 

"It's not supposed to be funny, it's not your fault you have to move at human speed." Jinx shrugged.
