He sat her on a chair, right at the back of his garden. He put a glass of water beside her. "come in when you have the energy.." he said, walking back towards the house.

she looked at esmya with pained, black eyes.

she tried to smile, shaking her head.

"wolfe. close your eyes."

he walked back into the house. "right... back to the scan."

 

she nodded

 

he went over her stomach several times. "only one..."

"obviously." Wolfe's voice came from the doorway.

"well.... I had a dream like that when I passed out..." she smiled weakly.

"sorta..." she sighed. "but who can trust a psychic werewolf, huh?"

"...so it's only when you are asleep?"

she sighed

 

"there is one test I can do..." he rubbed his chin.

"what is it, that you crave the most when you haven't fed?"
"meat... raw meat..."
"well....next time she is hungry...we give her one of each.. blood and raw meat.. see if the babies are satisfied."
"I'm not sure..."

 

she made a face at 'raw meat'

 

she smirked. "don't knock it 'till you try it! it's nice."
"well, it will taste nice to you when one of your twins are hungry... we will just have to get you to drink blood first."

 

"i can drink the blood...but never once have i ever eaten human food."
