I'm sorry, is anyone else occasionally confused by the "user is on/offline" icons? I don't really GET why blue means offline and red means online.

It's a really stupid and unnecessary suggestion, but at the same time it'd probably take like 5 minutes to change.

It was confusing at first, yes. But atleast I have gotten used to it. I think that people would be more confused if this gets through, so I'm gonna say no.

That's just how this skin works...

And take 5 minutes to change? Lol not really, I would have to go mess with this skin's coding... and with this skin, I don't think it's really worth changing. I'm not saying I don't agree it's a stupid way to show online users, but I would just wait until the next skin change.

nothing is "An easy 5 minutes" to change when it comes to coding, and no, its not as easy as "the click of a button" with forums that arent ran off a free service, you have to code everything by hand, theres no easy to use templates or anything.

I always thought that blue mode is like you're cold, dead, inactive atm. And red is steaming hot ready to pounce at you in any given moment. + red's more visible which would suit someone who is online.

Isnt it just about switching the urls to the pictures? :/

It confused the hell out of me when the skin changed.

Tho Id rather a new skin before this is fixed. XD Lets go back to a darker theme.

Cin it's a small and easy to understand function.
Red=ON Blue=OFF as you said.I think it's a handy function to know who's online and i don't think that it's as easy to turn off especially when it comes to coding. The Admins haven't got the time to get rid of something like that because of all the coding and making sure they don't do something else to the forum that wasn't meant.

Changing it wouldn't be easy... unless I was just changing the colors on it. Keep in mind that's the layout, so there's other icons down the like for the rep (staff have more icons down there too). So taking out the red/blue icon guy and replacing it with text would look pretty bad on this skin.

I don't see the point in playing with the skin's coding for ages trying to do such a small thing.
If it WAS changed, there would be a riot in the spamzone about it (which we obviously don't need).
And anyway, after 9 months, nearly everyone's got used to it... So I'mma say no.

At least this is a lot easier than the last skin, which just had text saying "So-and-so is online/offline" :)

I say no because even though it can be confusing at first, everyone who's active is used to it. If it were reversed, it would just be more even more confusing. The newbies will just have to get used to it like everyone else did.

I always assumed the colors meant Red (on), Blue (off) and is kind of like an electrical current or something. I don't think it really matters what colors are used. The red is more visible so it stands out more. When the skin changes someone might switch up the colors or add two new colors. It can wait though until the new skin is made.

I agree with this statement <:3

And it's so easy you even said it yourself Cin. Red - on, blue - off. And that's it. Just like admins are blue ,mods are purple and sec mods are red.

Green = On, go, alive, healthy, positive, good
Red = Off, stop, dead, quite unhealthy, negative, angry

These two colors are what are used in these types of situations, almost always. I really don't see where blue fits into it.

I'm not saying remove the icons and everything, I'm just saying MAYBE we could change a color or 2?

Spdude just pays for the forum, I wouldn't hold my breath on a new skin. My opinion at least.

And I've adjusted to the online/offline icons already. It shouldn't really matter what colors they are, either, me thinks.

Agreed with Georgles. Most of us know what they are, and so far you're the only one I've seen making a thread about it, so maybe you can just adjust like the rest ? :]
