uh... how do i divide fractions?

i am on dividing fractions and i still dont know how to divide...
if it helps the problem i'm on now is
3 1/7 / 4/7

 

Make them improper, multiply the numerator by the inverse of the denominator.

There ya go.

Well let's see.

22/7 / 4/7

Wait well it seems like we can take a shortcut here and multiply the whole thing by 1 (ie 7/7)

(22/7 / 4/7) * (7/7) = 22/4 = 11/2

So yeah you almost got it right but if I had to take a stab at what you did wrong I'd say you multiplied the denominator by the inverse of the numerator instead of the numerator by the inverse of the denominator.
