I have a good Shakespear poem right here... :)


Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?

Thou art more lovely and more temperate:

Rough winds do shake the darling buds of May,

And summer's lease hath all too short a date:

Sometimes to hot the eye of heaven shines,

And often his gold complexion dimm'd;

And every fair from fair sometime declines,

By chance, or nature's changing course, untrimm'd;

But thy eternal summer shall not fade,

Nor lose possesion of that fair thou owest;

Nor shall Death brag thou wander'st in his shade,

When in eternal lines to time thou growest;

So as long as men can breathe, or eyes can see,

So long lives this, and gives life to thee.

Here is some of my poetry from class! XD XD Be warned... it is dumb and has no purpose... I think it is okay... but I could have done a bit better...

The Penny

I was walking down the street
when I saw a penny on the ground.
It shined so brightly in the sunlight.
Bending down, I picked it up
and squinted my eyes
as it shined in my face.
It seemed to glow,
Bringing me so much joy.
The head of a president Lincoln
was engraved in the side.
I smiled as I dropped in in my pocket,
listening as it clanked against my nickel.
But later that day I reached into my pocket
and the penny was gone.
I felt around with eyes full of sadness,
but I never found it.
I still have not forgotten that penny.
