Gabriel snarled, "Doesn't concern me?" he said slowly, his anger mounting. "This concerns everyone born before this time period! Which includes me! This exact time and place is when I found my wife! If anything were to change in Sorcha and my relationship, I'll kill you!" He lifted her light mortal body and drapped her over his shoulder, walking back towards the others.

 

she wriggled "You'll do no such thing! You dare touch me again and Toby will take your head off!"

 

Gabriel laughed, "Now that's funny. Even if Toby hadn't asked me to come get you. I doubt he'd be able to take me. Do you realize how old I am? The year I fell was 476, the beginning of the Dark Ages. I was at least 25 in angel years. You know what that is in angel years? 2500. I'm the first son of the Archangel Gabriel. Toby doesn't stand a chance, so don't you dare threaten me with your boyfriend."

 

Eliza gulpped as she whatched Gabriel, he could be fairly scary when he wanted to be.

 

"Toby fell the day after you! he's just as old!"

 

Gabriel narrowed his eyes, "So that's how I know him..." he mumbled to himself and dragged her back toward Toby, "Well, in case you missed what I said. Toby asked me to retrieve you."

 

The figure watched them all from a distance, a little smirk on his face.

Eliza shifted her weight between her legs uncomfortably.

 

"I dont care."

 

"Doesn't she realise that what one wants, one doesn't always get?"

 

Gabriel's temper boiled up again, "Dammit woman!" he let go of her arm and shoved her back against the wall, "You just don't get it do you! I couldn't give a damn if Toby tried to kill me right now, all that matters is that we're not seen in this time. This is the day....the day I renounced my brother's ways and found Sorcha. But you seem to be too stupid to realize that our presence here has affected anything!" His mind whirled with what if's. What if he hadn't renounced his brother, would he be just like him?
