I think they should switch Cashern Sins with something else because that was just boring... (Atleast in my opinion it was) Deadman Wonderland was awesome though.

I didn't watch the entirety of it. I watched from the second half of Bleach through Casshern Sins. I mean, Bleach is <3 to me anyway, I followed Deadman Wonderland's manga (god bless that this has an anime, but Ganta's voice just makes me want to kick him in his yet-to-drop balls), and I've been wanting to see Casshern Sins since I joined (Thank you, Cyanide). FMA: Brotherhood, never got into. As much as I love Cowboy Bebop, I had to get up for work the next day so I didn't stay up for it.
Agree with DW, but I think Casshern Sins just has a slow start. But for the most part, it was kind of boring, I will admit.

Best news is, DW and CS are recorded weekly on my girlfriend's TV and now she watches anime with me<3 Though Deadman may have been a horrible way to introduce her

At least the ratings weren't poor. It'll probably take a couple months to see if things go up hill or down hill.

Boomerang and Nick at Nite seem to do that just fine

Part of me wishes I'd stayed up for Toonami, but most of the current lineup doesn't interest me (and the ones that do are GITS SAC 2nd GIG and Cowboy Bebop which of course would be scheduled latest). Granted, not tuning in only guarantees that the lineup won't change so |: . Guess I ought to if I want to see it continue.

Boomerang is just filled with classics that anyone can enjoy. That's why it is holding on so well, it appeals to the younger demographics as well. With Toonami, it feels as if the only people who have any interest in it at all, are the people who grew up with it. The people who jack off to nostalgia. There's the difference.

I have never heard of Nick at Nite, so can't comment on that.

What would stop another generation from growing up with it like we did? Why don't the same points about kids being able to appreciate Boomerang apply to Toonami?

When we grew up on them, did we do so because of nostalgia, or because we enjoyed them the first time?

Because you guys had low standards growing up, unlike the current generation. The shows airing on Boomerang are classics, and for a reason. The shows airing on Toonami at the moment, with the exception of Bebop, are not much to brag about. Certainly not good enough to be called classics.

Correct. However, the current shows, with the exception of Cowboy Bebop, please neither the new generation nor those who valued the nostalgia, so your point has become moot by your own hand.

    As was Toonami
Toonami was great for airing shows that at the time nobody had even heard of.
At this point only the hardcore people who actively look for more anime know what Casshern Sins and Deadman Wonderland is.
There are three things would greatly help Toonami
    1. New shows like Casshern Sins that a majority of western viewers have never heard of
    2. Advertisement OUSTIDE of 2 hours before it airs
    3. Better time slot

Clearly they need to get Dragonball Z to attract both new and old generations.

Possibly, but I never got into that series anyway, so eh. Probably has something to do with my parents disliking it...
