The girl I like and I were preparing for Godaikocon this Friday, and as part of that, we went to Wal-Mart for Pocky. We took the bus there, and walked home because our transfer pass ran out. Then it began raining. Apparently she's freaked out by thunder and lightning. So we went into a drugstore to get an umbrella, at which point the rain picked up enough that I had to call my mom to come get us. Then we hung out and played Persona 4 while we waited for her dad to pick her up.

And that's how I maxed my first Social Link in real life. Too bad there was never a romance. Meh, doesn't matter.

    End extremely bloggy sounding post.

Should've tried to do something while she was freaked out by the Thunder.
    Hold her or something.
    I always liked that. ._.

Well I offered to share an umbrella, but she decided it would be better to just call my mom. So, to avoid reversing the Social Link, I called my mother.
If she were any other girl, I would have. But she's very different in that she actually means something to me.
    Wat?

But...but...but...I don't want her to cry in the first place. And besides, she's not scared. Just freaked out. There's a difference.

Dude, wow. It starts raining, and all you can think about is to run in to some store to get an umbrella? You should've taken off your pants, that way she can use them to not get wet.

Hey, my first thought was to grab her wrist and use my feet to build forward momentum, causing her to be forced to follow at an equally speedy pace.

Then I thought that we could split the cost of an umbrella, which would have the added bonus of being incredibly romantic. The two of us close together under a tiny umbrella because we couldn't afford a big one walking down the street toward my place of dwelling, all the while discussing how we're anticipating the convention for which we are leaving on Friday. She rests her head on my shoulder while I pretend not to notice. I put my arm around her, supposedly to keep her under the umbrella but really just because I've always wanted to hold her tight and never let go for as long as I live. Then both of us realize that passersby are staring at us as if we look like lovers, and we embarrassedly move apart, only to end up in the same position upon arrival to my house. She thanks me, her face the most beautiful shade of red while I simply tell her, "That's what friends are for," silently hoping that she understands from my tone that I don't really mean what I said and in fact have used this most wonderful time to try to make her realize that I do, in fact, love her. We're both then too embarrassed to actually talk about any of it, and instead go inside to hang out like we often do, even though we both know that our relationship will never truly be the same.

Then she noted that she was too freaked out to walk all the way home and I called my mom at her request, knowing that doing otherwise would reverse our Social Link.

Not once did I think to take off my pants.

EDIT: Rereading this whole thing, I think I just described the most perfectly cliched scenes in the history of the romance genre. And I meant every word of it too.

I have written in many notebooks, but I don't know what that
Plastic umbrella. Not all umbrellas have metal tips.
