I actually find this to be rather offensive given the fact that I was a cheerleader in High School. If you seriously think that you don’t have to work for it then you are very much ****ing mistaken, it takes a LOT of work, much in the same way that swimming and cross country do (I find it hugely ironic you compared it to these two activities since you do them). Just because your school was like does not mean that every school is like and certainly doesn’t mean that all cheerleaders are like that.

It is NOT degrading to women, or had you not noticed that there is actually such a thing as MALE cheerleaders too? Our uniform was shorts FYI, no mini skirts, and it was taken seriously. It isn’t about cheering on the BOYS it is about cheering on the TEAM and the school.

If you want to disagree with something then that is fine, but damn well make sure that you have done your background checks first.

It is things like this that makes me hate feminists.

p.s I was a cheerleader, but I also managed to play hockey,netball and lacrosse for my year as well as badminton. I was also a long distance runner and held the record for javelin throw out of my year for a long time, yeah, being a cheerleader really implied I was incapable of playing sports and that all I was good for was to cheer on the boys.

 

Cheerleaders are dancers who have gone ******ed.

At the airhead comment, I do debate and speech as well as being near the top of my PIB class but because I'm a natural blond and do cheer I'm automatically an idiot ;D of course.

It's fun, so I do it :| that's pretty much all there is to it.
