Anyway, my opinion is that, yes, the RP section could benefit from correct spelling and grammar, however, I also think that the rest of the site often has similar problems. True it is more noticeable in the RP section, but it is not the only place where there are errors ^^ lol the screen image did make me laugh though.

To the member that de-repped me, I would like to give you some food for thought:

I administer three forums where the chief purpose is to role-play. I do not advertise this fact since I don't feel the need to.

So with that fact in mind, do you understand where I'm coming from? Yes I role-play, but not on this site. Yes, good spelling and grammar matter to me because those things make a role-play enjoyable for all parties involved.

I love how you jumped to the conclusion that since I pointed out a flaw in one of your members, you felt the need to get back at me in this most childish way. Instead of PMing me, you left me an anonymous message in my User CP.

Think before you act next time.

 

Okay, you clearly are pissed at whoever derepped you. I for one, DO NOT derep you-quite the opposite. I, too, want good grammer in my RPs. I applaud you, sir.

I suggest Santa bring's all the RPers a dictionary for Christmas this year...or a new brain. Whatever would speed things up. :P

 

I spell fine, and my grammer seems okay I should think...that's just one big stereotype right now...

 

I may not role-play on this site, but it just sort of makes role-players as a whole look bad when there is words spelled wrongly.

I can understand some typos but if you find yourself making a lot of spelling errors in your role-play posts. I suggest you do 1 of 2 things:

1) Use a Word Processing program such as Word that has spell check.
2) Get an internet browser that has a spell check feature such as Firefox.

This is an activity that involves writing. That is what you do when you are role-playing. You are writing a story that your characters are doing.

Would you want to read a book full of spelling errors? I know I wouldn't. Same as I don't want to read your role-play posts that are full of spelling errors simply because you don't take the time to use spell check.

I am not mocking you with this thread. I am simply offering you a suggestion to make your role-plays more enjoyable for you and for the people you role-play with.
