Three years ago to this day...

A young girl of only eleven went onto her father's computer, looking for video recordings of her long-time favorite video game. She was eventually led to the website "KH-Vids.Net." She found the videos she was looking for, and remembered the site. She came home to her mother's house and tried downloading the videos. A newbie to the internet, she had problems finding the 'download' button on Filefront, where the videos were hosted. Going back to the website, she noticed something called a "forum." She decided to ask for help on there. She eventually settled upon the username "...," and the rest is history.

Mine is a little bit sadder.

There was a boy who was bored with life during his freshman year. Since he did not own a PS2 at the time, he looked for kingdom hearts cutscenes on the internet. He found the site kh-vids.net one day which had links to them One day when he came, he noticed a short story competition for fan-fiction of the game. He worked hard on a romantic comedy of an "OllettexPence" fanfic he spent hours on. He then didn't know how to send it, so he decided to join the site.

The ironic thing was, the boy never posted the fan-fic.

Jesus christ, you were 11 three years ago? Hell, when I was 11..

-the PS2 hadn't even been released yet
-the Dreamcast was the most amazing thing ever with 56k online connection speeds
-there had only been 1 Mario Party game released
-the only anime you could find on TV would be Dragon Ball Z, Sailor Moon, and maybe some Gundam or Gatchaman
-there were only 151 Pokemon
-Google, Youtube, Myspace, and Wikipedia didn't exist
-no child owned a cell phone, and most people still had a fear that they gave you brain radiation
-we thought planes were supposed to fall out of the sky and missiles would go off because computers internal clocks changed to '00'
