I would move to a world line in which the dog did not exist but the fort did, and then take the fort for myself.

You did not satisfy the contradiction. Can the dog destroy anything, or not? If it cannot destroy anything, then the fort must not be special in that. It must be made out of a material, yes? And if you try to say that the fort is the only existing occurrence of that material then you are clearly just putting an impossible situation up and changing the rules at your leisure to mess with us.

Dogs are stupid. You may not simply claim that the dog will know what you are planning, because it is a dog. Your own rules regarding its species dictate that.

I would become friends with the dog and make it come out of the perfect doghouse for some food. Make it feel safe outside of the doghouse. It would trust me eventually. Then I would shoot it from downwind with a poison dart, keeping myself hidden. Sniper rifle. In the back or hind leg, preferably. If you dog tried to bite the wound, it would destroy itself, and not the poison alone, by your own rules.

Good, then if I move to another world line, he would not be there. Running away sounds like a good offense to me. I would hurt his pride.

I did not say that I would let him get close. It is entirely possible that because the dog wants to be friends with me and is aware that he will destroy me, being so smart, that he will stay far enough away that he will not destroy me. Trust would need to be mutual, and I would back off if necessary before I let him get close to me.

 

How can the dog destroy the mind link, if you said earlier that he'd destroy anything that came near his face. Can he also destroy intangible things? Can he destroy concepts?

I remember it taking many posts to solve this. Besides we haven't seen anyone summon Chuck Norris or another dog in the same exact fort in from of the original dog in the original fort.
