    God, who wasn't scared of those? I think everyone was, isn't weired that theres always that one part in each Zelda game that scares us? For example, the ghost ship in Wind Waker, yeah, I know thats weak of me, I just didn't want to get close to it, but I had to just to get a triforce peace, once inside I found that it was just stupid weak cartoon ghost pirates that didn't look scary at all, god, turns out I was scared of nothing.

    First of all, the Redeads in OoT, like Kitty said. I borrowed the game from a friend and when I went into Hyrule as older Link, I was like "Ohshi- RUN!"

    Also, this is embarrassing, but, for a while, the second Ansem fight in KH1. I have no idea why, though.

    Hmmm, i don't recall anythign that scared me, maybe jumping in surrpise is more of a term, of course I enver bought any real scary games since I was sensible and waited until I hit the age or was older than the game, besides, I mostly played Final Fantasy and other JRPG's.

    I was perhaps most cautious in Devil May Cry series seeing as you don't know what to expect, only things that jump me is if soemthing pops in above you or jumps out but I enver get sacred easily, I watched Starships Troopers at like...14-15 and the alien sucks the braisn of a solider out, I wasn't frightened at all and my cousin looked at me to see if I was all right and asked. "You okay?" and I responded. "Yeah," this is probably cause I wa sjust young and was never really scared of stuff since I enjoyed rollercoasters since I was little and never could get scarier than that.

    I never watch or play horror stuff mostly, I do have the Resdient EVil and SIlent Hill Collect but I'll probably wait until I'l like 23 or something since there's always new games coming out, I do have Dead Rising 2 and I just see it as well... Shaun of the Dead.

    You are correct about Dead Rising, its not a horror game, its looks more at the comedy side of the Zombie apocalypse....like Shawn of the Dead. Anyway what about those chainsaw guys in RE4, I mean the scary part is just making sure you don't get close to them, or when they get close to you, it just builds up suspense!

    When I was younger, there was a part in Frogger 2: Swampy's Revenge that scared the crap outta me:
    At the end of the second level when an enormous boulder comes barreling down at you and you have to run through a maze to escape it, lest you be crushed or fall into a pit of spikes.
    My eight-year-old self would scream every time.

    At the end of Monkey Island 2
    You end up trekking around these underground tunnels to semi-creepy music while being chased around by an evil pirate (series' main villain LeChuck) with a voodoo doll. You have no idea when he's going to show up, and whenever he does uses the doll to torture the main character, Guybrush, before Guybrush is teleported [screaming in agony] into another room and you have to keep running. The entire point is to look for supplies to make your own voodoo doll with which to fight back.
    There is one room you can walk into that looks like it was made for medical assistance, but when you walk in you see two skeletons sitting on a couch with a giant sign over them that reads "LOST PARENTS."
    Eventually you get enough supplies to make the voodoo doll, and Guybrush proceeds to rip its leg off, effectively doing the same to the villain who falls on the floor gushing green blood and begging for mercy. Then everything gets insanely trippy: LeChuck reveals he is actually your brother, and suddenly someone walks in and says something to the effect of, "Hey you kids! Don't play around in here!" and you are led outside to see that... you are a child at a carnival, your parents are waiting outside, and your brother had been searching for you (as slow, creepy carnival music fades into the background). As you walk off the screen, your 'brother' shoots an evil glare at the camera. Cue credits (as the music suddenly blasts into the main villain's theme).
    So yeah, the entire game is pretty humorous, but the finale was incredibly creepy and mind-numbingly mindscrewy in my opinion. @__@

    The Portal series also freaks me out a little; the general isolated atmosphere is insanely creepy along with the often very subtle music and sound effects... I dunno, it was the first game that ever made me feel genuinely paranoid. And in Portal 2
    the moment where Wheatley takes over GLaDOS and turns on you was very creepy and tense, for me.

    Something happened to me today that creeped me the hell out in L.A. Noire when
    you're going through the church chasing after the Black Dhalia killer, and you find his "workshop" with the tub full of blood and all of his tools. And then the actual chase underground with him talking and you not knowing where he is was utterly creepy.
    And this was during the daytime too. ;-;

    I've thought long and hard about this and I can honestly say that there has been absolutely nothing in video games that scared me. In all of the games I've played, the lead character is strong enough to take care of any "scary" enemy that shows up in the game. I have no reason to be afraid of something I can destroy.

    That piano in the Haunted Mansion level from Super Mario 64 scared the **** out of me the first time I ran into it.

    Loud sudden noises like roaring hissing grumbling, e.t.c. I was playing Turok: Oblivion for the first time and there was this man-eating spider vampire thing that pulled this guy out from a sewer ladder above me, and his lower-half fell on me. When you find the guy (or a least his upper-half), there's the monster that tore him up like an envelope. I always stopped playing at that part because of how noisy that thing was.

    When there are spiders or beasts with certain shapes, I don't know what shape but some just really scare me- like the Face in KH1 in the last few battles, that's horrible!

    I'm not really scared of blood and gore but when it came to Portal, the last level was really freaky. The game itself is quite freaky, but I was playing it at night when I was home alone and GLADoS was talking to me through voice over and I was climbing through sewers and old Portal chambers. I was just so freaked out, also when I went behind the panels to the secret parts e.g. the cake is a lie place- that freaks me out.

    I don't think I've been properly scared in a non-scary game but I have been freaked out xD

    This too. When I was smaller and ran into that thing for the first time I was scared for quite a while. I wouldn't go near the piano in the music room for the longest time.

    Zelda II's game over screen was quite creepy, as I recall. And I still hate Redeads with a fiery passion.

    Oh god, this so freaking hard! Though I kinda just set the difficulty to easy and just waved around with my melee weapon all the time. It was even worse considering that the whole place was a maze ;-;

    Super Mario 64. Boo's castle. First of all that freaking carousel music and second of all that goddamn piano. I think I got a heart attack when I played it. Then again, I was only like two years old, but it still counts.

    Other than that I really can't think of many instances where I've been scared while gaming tho. Unless I'm playing freaking Silent Hill, but those don't count.

    Soul Reaver on the Dreamcast.

    I was about 6 years old when my dad bought me that game. Watched the beginning cutscene where Kain is killed and sold it xD

    To be honest, I tend not to get scared when gaming. I'll get freaked out/creeped out by games but never scared and/or terrified.

    I think it is because no matter how creepy it gets, I know that ultimately its just a game, and none of them are ever realistic enough to really get to me. For example, I love SH games, but they don't scare me, the film however, scared the absolute **** out of me, because it was much more realistic, and I could imagine it as being real. That made sense in my head.

    I think the one thing that creeped me out the most in a game ever is quite embarrassing

    In Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal when Ratchet and Clank go to find Qwark on his hideout and there are the Qwarkbot things that act like the Terminator, idk why but the way they were clawing across the floor etc trying to get to me really creeped me out

    The flood from the first Halo. I was young.

    Dude, I was like 7 or something when I played that game, and what I hated the most was Bowser's laugh, the first time you walk into the castle, I had to turn the sound all the way down.

    S.T.A.L.K.E.R. was a pretty startling game as well.

    I've realized that PC games scare you much easier.

    I'm scared of 1 thing....Kinda hard to explain so I'll just give an example.
    If you take a boat and sail away from the land to the wide ocean until you can't see the land behind you. I dunno why I feel scared of that. I know we can go back to the land again or load the save file. But something really makes me scared x__x

    Emerald Weapon overworld model.
    Oh God so much.

    I went all the way to the City of Ancients just so that i wouldn't find it when i dive, and even then, the overworld music with the Meteor made it look like it was gonna come out of water and take me in while i was sailing.

    The sheer fear of seeing that thing underwater with no BGM at all still haunts me to this day.
    And worse, it spread to just about every giant thing i can find underwater that chases me, like that level in Mario 64 ;_;

    Also, first Pyramid Head encounter on SH2.
    Not fear as in "OMG UGLY MONSTER RUN", more like "WHY DON'T YOU STOP WALKING TOWARDS ME DIE DIE DIE DIE DIE"

    Honestly, in 3D games it freaks me out too, specially if you're alone in-game(Nothing on screen other than you that is).
    Likely because of Emerald Weapon again.
