Things in games that you spent way too much time on

Most of my hours invested into this game came from playing Blitzball. I had the perfect team (which I don't remember) and everything.
Hard to believe I was still in highschool at that time. It seems like just yesterday I was punching a hole through my wall at this unfair game.

 

Kingdom Hearts

Trying to defeat certain bosses can be time-consuming. :P

 

I played Blitzball a lot but I've probably only scored like two goals the entire time I spent on it. I had no idea what I was doing and it was really frustrating.

 

Getting the Big Boss Emblem in MGS4 (Which consisted of playing game on The Boss Exteme, using no continues, getting no Alert Phases, killing no enemies, using no Rations/Regain/Noodles, the stealth camo, or the Bandana, and have a completion time of five hours or less).
That was very time consuming.

Otherwise playing the God of War games on very hard.

Finishing Star Ocean 2 100%.

I can't think of anything else :x

WHAT THE **** WAS GOING ON IN THAT GAME!? I COULD COUNT LIKE TWENTY TIMES WHERE MY CARDS WOULD HAVE BETTER STATS THEN THE OPPONENTS AND HE WOULD STILL BEAT ME! WHAT UTTER BULLSHIT!

BBS. Trying to beat the final boss at level 29 without Second Chance or Once More. I spent four hours. Four hours.

 

THIS WHOLE FREAKING GAME. It took me days to get these two individual scores. AND ON EASY. I can't even do normal mode because my X button sticks.



Also breeding Chocobos kthxbai.

 

Unlocking every single character in fighting games.

 

Playing Basketball in Deus Ex.

 

What terrible fighting games do you play where it takes more then 2 hours to unlock every character?

 

KH1 destiny Islands. Way way back in the day, I had a level 100 Destiny Islands file without cheating. It started because I had a save file in the shack so I could bypass the tutorial on future playthroughs, but whenever the game got too aggravating or I just wanted something mindless to do I would level up a bit more on that file. I think it was around level 20 that I went "Hey wouldn't it be cool to get this all the way to level 100?" and so I did. God was that a waste of time. I had single runs with Tidus that lasted for hours, just me countering him for tech.

 

Inputting Action Replay Codes manually. Yeah, that's basically it.

But f you are talking video game wise, Resonace of fate using the infiinite money trick, buy the materials and have enough money to craft x999 of A scope, sell it in the same shop you crafted that item, go abck two levels and buy the materials and repeat, I did fidn it funny I'm crafting in the same shop for an item they are selling to me and I seel it back and make a profit of more money, I imagine the clerk thinking "He found a way to get rich! Why couldn't I think of that?!"

 

Collecting all the heart pieces and Golden Skullutas in the Ocarina of Time.

The Command Board in BBS. I hated it at first, but then I realised how awesome it was for levelling up commands and I just got addicted.

 

Every single one.
And yet I keep playing them.

 

Trying to get the acorn/ball to the Bear in Okami.

Staring at EVERY. FLAMING. TORCH THERE EVER WAS, In..about every game, It amuses me.
ANYWHO, Yes. Torches. All of them. All of my torches..But the worst thing about games.. SECRETS, MAN. SECRETS.

 

Even worse are missing secrets. You think there's something special about something, but then it turn out to be nothing at all while you continue to pick at it until you figure out that the secret is the lack of a secret. That said: THOSE. EFFING. WELLS. IN. FFI.

Jak II

Still haven't managed to finish it. The bugger.
